Something seems fishy about this. Anya has been an IU lean since like May. He was the first guy to really lean IU out of this group. Maybe we know for sure Vonleh is coming?

No, Vonleh isn't deciding before he visits us or OSU.

Either something changed on our end, something like Zeller saying he was planning on staying. Or Anya decided that he wanted to stay close to home. It is possible that they wowed him as well.

We were recruiting both of them as if we were trying to get both, so I doubt Crean would just give up unless something changed. And judging by the fact that NC state had already stopped recruiting the other big. They must have realized one way or the other that they have Anya locked up.

Like anything else, it was probably a combination of things: Word might have leaked back to the Hoosier staff that Anya was leaning NC State; word might have leaked back to the staff that if IU took Anya, Vonleh would knock them down his list; we might have realized (for once) that we have a very real scholarship crunch if we took all three of them, so they suspended their pursuit of Anya in hopes of landing their top target Vonleh; or a combination of those things led IU to announce it was saving their last space for Vonleh as a recruiting tool to make him feel all warm and fuzzy for IU. All very plausible explanations.

Perea and Jurkin are eligible for tomororw and most are assuming this means the NCAA issues are cleare dup.

Really don't understand Wilson's insistence on starting Coffman.

Ehhh...it was a poor route but he telegraphed that pass to the defender.

    Coffman has played better today.

Yeah Coffman did end up playing alot better.

Next week is easily the most important game in 5 years. If they pull that out, you have to like their chances. They have to play OSU and Penn State. We have to play Purdue and Penn State.

Big Ten is so bad at football. We should be bowl eligible right now if we could just beat Navy and Ball State. Blah.

I havent been this stoked about IU football in a long time. Kevin Wilson is turning this program around. Now we just need the fans to start showing up.

IU football is coming around and the #1 team in the country opens the college basketball season on Friday.

It is good to be a Hoosier fan.

Indeed it is an exciting time to be a Hoosiers fan. I'm hoping that alums coming into town for the basketball opener on Friday night will stick around and go to the football game on Saturday. I nabbed some tickets to the Bryant game, and I'm planning on a football Saturday as well.

Early in the season I said a lot of things about Wilson I'm not proud of.....wow has he turned things around.

Who would have thought two months ago that IU would still be alive in the race to Indy while Purdue would be 0-fer and about to fire their coach?

Here's a Terry Hutchins blog about their eligibility status. He doesn't seem to know what to think.

So the fact that Jurkin did play and Perea could have makes me think this “all part of the process thing” has some legs. The one thing we know for certain is that the NCAA has never been quick to get players through the clearinghouse. The only problem here is that Indiana opens its season Friday night at Assembly Hall against Bryant. One would hope that there is official word by then.

I think Jurkin will not miss any games, and Perea will miss a handful.

    HOLY *BLEEP*.

    https://twitter.com/DustinDopirak/st...61858450718720

Dopirak tweets: Peter Jurkin and Hanner Mosquera Perea have each been required to sit out nine games and donate money to charity.
