Well, 6'0" third-string SG is considerably less appealing than a b/u point...

I don't really follow recruiting closely at all, but ESPN has Scott as a 6'0" SG...clearly, he will have to play point in the long-run...so then I don't know how the 1/2 rotation will shake out at all with this addition...

Robbie Hummel, JaJauan Johnson, Keaton Grant, Lew Jackson, and John Hart were at Mackey yesterday and played some 5 on 5 against some of the current team after practice yesterday.

Hazell and Shoop got a big recruit, Denzel Ward, a big *** 6'8/300 tackle. Was committed to Michigan, picked us over Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Florida. Big get.

“Coach (Matt Painter) has told me that it’s nice to have potential, but potential just means that you haven’t done anything yet,” Hammons said. “I haven’t done anything. I have potential, but I really have to work at it. I won’t look at my potential until I get to a point where I know I’m getting all I need to get out of me.”

Reeeeeally looking forward to the next athletic season. I think Purdue sports are on the upswing. Might not get there next year, but soon.

^ -suspicious number of uncontested dunks in that scrimmage lol
-looks like no hard feelings with John Hart if he's back, good to see
-hope JJ can get it together and stick on a roster...can he really be worse than e.g. Plumlee? He actually made some legit NBA plays his rookie year with the Cs...
-does Hammons look slimmed down to yall?

I'm sure they were just goofing around and dunking haha. It is good to see Hart. Reports definitely say Hammons is getting in shape.

I don't think there are any scores. I don't think it was all that organized.

not that I've seen. damn shame. was always questionable about his pro ability with his scarecrow body but he's still a great athlete with length, would think he'd get a second chance. developed that little midrange shot (long release or not) his senior year, guy works hard. haven't seen him play much in the d-league but from the stuff I've read just sorta seems like he lost a lot of confidence. either way, wherever he winds up he'll continue to be a great representative of Purdue, he's a great guy.

Gelen Robinson just committed for Hazell. So at least we got one of Glenn's sons, he's a tank of a DE, 3/4 star depending where you look.

Read he is also a good bball prospect... doubt he does much though 6-1 forward... probably sticks to football.

Dammit. That's not gonna help with Vince Edwards. Can't blame Shrews or anything, but man it'd be nice if we could go more than like 2 years w/o losing a top assistant.

Well, at least there's a big difference between losing an assistant to the NBA and losing one to freaking Clemson.

Washburn was talking up Lowe and Cardinal. If Lowe could recruit Lake as well as he thinks, I'd be okay with him. Otherwise I'd rather get someone with experience. Hopefully Burke will put his money where his mouth is.

gonna have to check this out. hopefully the NBA guys actually play, Zeller and Landry matching up in IU and Purdue gear would be kinda surreal.
