I like Hammons. I think he will stick around for 2-3 years, but man...you guys have to surround him with better talent. Outside of Byrd, you have no shooters, and I'm not sold on the Johnson brothers quite yet. Painter is a good game coach but his recruiting leaves something to be desired. And it's pretty clear after the rivalry debacle you guys have pretty much given up on the season.
We know. I'm not trying to be a dick, but I mean what else is there to say. This season's embarrassing.

Lack of talent is one thing. Lack of effort is a whole different ball game. Painter should be embarrassed.

Liked what Painter did last night. His whole seasons worth of anger just bursted out of him.

This is where my new "root for the entire Keady coaching tree" strategy is paying off big time. 'Zo's UT has us a net +2 for the day, with Bruce's big game coming up.

Painter makes 2.3 million dollars. That's 9th in the country I believe.

2 year anniversary of E'twaun's 38 point game vs Ohio State. One of the most fun basketball games I've ever been to

Article on Ian Stanback's son (damn, I'm getting old) who is 6' 9" Sr and IUPUI recruit at WLHS. This better not end up another GRIII situation.

Golden State Warriors forward Carl Landry presented $10,000 worth of donations in boxing, fitness and recreation equipment Thursday to the East Oakland Boxing Association, which was burglarized on several occasions last year.

Landry helped distribute equipment provided by Good Sports, including exercise benches, boxing gloves, protective head and groin gear and chin-up bars.

The East Oakland Boxing Association is a nonprofit that has served Oakland residents ages 5 to 20 since 1987. It provides free after-school and summer programs that include physical activities like boxing along with mentoring and tutoring for academics, art, gardening and leadership development.

Good Sports is a Massachusetts-based national nonprofit dedicated to donating athletic equipment to schools and programs like EOBA.
    Something positive!

^There was a good Grantland article on Landry a few days ago too. Apparently he could have gotten slightly more money elsewhere, but Mark Jax recruited him to GS.

This is more like it. Maybe Painter's gotten to them finally. Or maybe we're playing an injury riddled Northwestern. Either way, great to see.

Either way, I didn't know this team could play a game like this.

Jeez, getting traded twice in one D-League season can't be good. Poor guy. Probably an interesting part of the country though. Isn't Sioux Falls in one of the Dakotas though.

JJ probably couldn't care less at this point if Idaho or SD.

Unfortunately, it looks like he will end up as a textbook tweener.
