Hey at least Davis made it respectable. I want Davis to get more playing time but let's be honest, that second half was pretty fluky. If a lot of those shots hadn't gone in people'd be calling him a chucker.

They have talent, they're just too young right now. At least they have played some good teams in different environments

It's clearly a rebuilding year. Ronnie Johnson and AJ Hammons are both promising.

That said, they need some scoring in a bad way.

Tom Crean: Great recruiter, horrible in-game coach.

Matt Painter: Horrible recruiter, great in-game coach.

That's encouraging. They've obviously got a long way to go but at least they are committed to getting better. Bravo Mr. Burke.

It's encouraging, to say the least. Probably took him too long to adjust to the current landscape, but he has. Not fair to call Burke cheap anymore. Now, about the lights at Ross Ade...

Not too great, or else Davis would have got playtime sooner, lol...

But I think having more money for his asst coaches will help

Freshman Jay Simpson will miss the rest of the season due to recurring problems with his foot, according to a #Purdue release.
Can SEEK a medical redshirt. He's already played in 10 games so it's far from a given, probably unlikely if anything. Awesome.

^not sure it matters. We have depth (if not quality) at the 4/5, though I guess Simpson could have used the development. With our luck, it will be chronic. And I wonder if all his extra weight is exacerbating his foot problems.

we have so many players that bring nothing discernable to the table on offense...hale, chooch, carroll, all of the johnsons, davis?, anthrop..

and hammons is working so hard, getting open in the post, and they'll jack up a 3 looking right at him

edit: what a stupid shot by RJ at 2:00...what is that at 25 on the shot?

edit2: how did we get hammons? who else did he have offers from? I don't remember ever having a big man who was this big and this skilled

What's it mean when we score more points than the other team? I forget.

well then good job painter on that one (and mick cronin and tubby i guess)...i think a lot of teams wiffed on hammons...another thing i saw today is that he is great at playing D without fouling, which is so hard especially for freshmen...

    JJ Mad Ants Game Log:
    http://www.nba.com/dleague/playerfil...ame_stats.html

He's getting some boards (and certainly getting shots up!) but I'm not sure what's up with his FG%. Wonder if he is trying to play on the perimeter too much.

Just got traded to Canton. For Luke Harangody.

I didn't even know you could get traded in the D-League

7 point home win over William and Mary ends the non-con at 6-6. Soooo...yeah, conference is gonna be rough. That Thornton kid was the best player on the floor.

Whatever boost beating William provided for our RPI, Mary cancels out.
