I don't know that I'd say I'd be surprised, but I think the odds he enters the draft are better than the odds he doesn't.

That said, as a Pacer fan, I'll be pretty pissed if he gets into the second round a season after we picked Miles ****ing Plumlee in the first.
Miles going in the first was a silly move in the first place, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Yup a win is a win, and oh well, we have had positives to take away from this year, but we need more I think.

Painter's all of a sudden working hard to get another 2013 PG. Scouting Petar Rusic and Cornelius Elder, neither of which seems to be anything special. There's an open scholarship but kind of makes me wonder who's going to transfer given how late he got in on these kids. I'm not excited about using a scholarship on either one to be honest.

Toyra's last game has the Association buzzing.

Toyra was honestly pretty...well, I don't want to say good, but passable. I'd have no problem if he started getting consistent minutes.

Do we have any shot tonight against MSU? Should i even pop a beer open for this one? I feel like I might be wasting the beer.

I'm expecting a blowout loss. But either way, it's a gut check game. Plenty of familiarity between the teams, if they show the same effort they have been then I'll welcome transfers.

I think it could be close, depends on how we handle Dawson and Harris I believe, wish they would have been on our team instead but oh well.

Yeah, when I saw that he was targeting a 5'11 PG I was kind of surprised, but the player fits the Purdue style of play, Cornelius that is, but it seems hard to find where his minutes will come from.

Ronnie is still young, we have Scott coming, I guess he could beat out AJ for minutes possibly, but then that makes the 2 position kind of packed.

It will be surprising, also I would keep in mind that Cornelius is a 4 star football recruit, and he might be more interested in a school where he can play both sports, kind of surprised he did not just go and focus on FB, but oh well.

Elder's apparently signing somewhere on the 20th, Purdue's got a hoops only offer and Georgia Tech's open to letting him play both I guess. And he cancelled a Purdue visit this (I think) weekend. So seems like it'll probably be GT, and honestly, good.

I'd take him just for the name...Corn Elder...scary as hell...could have a cheering section "Children of the Corn..." or the fans can dress up as spooky little kids, freak opponents out...

I think you will be wanting about 20 beers.

Not sure of specifically when, but Painter's been to watch him very recently I've read, may be there now for all I know. I mean I don't want to knock a kid and if he became a Boilermaker I'd root for him, but he's just not a Big Ten quality basketball player.

Sounds like he should be right in Painter's wheelhouse.

I like Hammons. I think he will stick around for 2-3 years, but man...you guys have to surround him with better talent. Outside of Byrd, you have no shooters, and I'm not sold on the Johnson brothers quite yet. Painter is a good game coach but his recruiting leaves something to be desired. And it's pretty clear after the rivalry debacle you guys have pretty much given up on the season.
