    Because? Purdue.

I'm getting sick of using that.

No. Unless we basically go undefeated the rest of the way, which ain't happenin. The resume just isn't there. Only way I see getting in win the conference tourney.

I don't see it. I just don't think the talent is there to keep this kind of pace up. Other than the Illinois game, which came out of nowhere, we've been feasting on the B1G's bottom tier. The schedule gets a lot tougher, and while I don't know much about WVU, I'm guessing that starts this weekend.
Yeah, the big ten is tough, we have been getting better, but we will see how it goes.

As far as the play so far this season, we had a good chance to steal one from OSU as well, and played MSU tough for a decent amount of the game, I hope we continue to get better, but yeah it will be a long shot to make the tourney, but there have been teams with 12 loses on the bubble before, if we can pull of some shockers maybe... here is for hoping.

Terone and Ronnie think they are better than they are. They try to make plays they have no chance of completing.

And now Anthony Johnson makes like his first good play of the season and injures himself in the process.

Also the first 8 minutes are super ugly.

Also a strong win today will help a lot, especially seeing how hard our schedule is going to get

Byrd, AJohnson playing very well, within themselves. Really, Chooch, Davis, and Hammons too. Running some good offense; D is solid.

Refs love dicking Hammons over. Probably wont matter this game, but still.

^WVU not always as bad as they looked today. Played a highly-regarded Kansas St team to within 1 last week.

I refuse to give any team credit for playing a Bruce Weber coached squad close.

Yeah, I know WVU's not very good, but I wasn't sure we'd win this game at all. Then that happened.

MORGANTOWN — This West Virginia University basketball team has sunk to such depths that Bob Huggins felt obligated to apologize to the people of the state following an embarrassing 79-52 loss at Purdue.

“I apologize to our fans, to the people of the state of West Virginia,” said Huggins, who has spent a whole lot more time during his career celebrating 718 victories than he has spent trying to absorb defeats as ugly and embarrassing as this.

“This is totally unacceptable,” he continued. “This is not what we’re supposed to represent.”
Nice to make quotes like that happen, even if it's from a mediocre team.

Doesn't exactly qualify as giving praise to the opponent for their victory, lol.

Serious question: If AJ Hammons enters the draft, is he a first round pick?

This draft? No way, his conditioning's nowhere near NBA level. I definitely think he'd be a 2nd rounder though. That size and touch would get him drafted whenever he decides.

You're probably right and I haven't really looked as far as what bigs will be in the draft but it isn't an enormous stretch for me to see a team taking a young kid with that kind of size and coordination late in the first or early in the second. Big bodied true seven footers who can actually do something with the ball are just so rare.

I'm not sure I'd be concerned with the conditioning portion though. The pre-draft process can get that taken care of relatively easily.

man, that would suck something fierce.

DX has him as the #45 freshman prospect*, not in top 100 overall.

*Right behind some dude named Boris averaging 1.8 pts and 1.3 rbs at FSU, so who knows where they are coming up with this.

It's been, I think, 14 straight years with a Boilermaker in the Super Bowl. Bernard Pollard made it this year.
