Default the future of the AKL and IKL

dear owners in the AKL and IKL,

some of you may have realised that both keeper leagues are in danger right now - the AKL has no commissioner since scott left, and the IKL currently has 15 (or less) owners, as 5 have not yet responded to my constant pestering.

i would take over the AKL too, but i am starting law school next week (hey, at least i'm actually in the US now!) and i do not believe i can handle commissioner responsibilities for two separate leagues at the same time.

I believe most of these guys have AKL teams also, and with the normal attrition rate per season I see the AKL being decimated as well.

what many of us have suggested is unifying the leagues and starting over - although this is a big kick in the teeth for guys who have slowly built their rosters to a respectable/awesome stage, this is probably the only way we can get a PD member-only league going.

so, AKL and IKL owners, if you are still interested, please search for the "unified keeper league" on sports.ws. the password is pacersdigest.

thank you, and once we finalise a number i will get back to you with more details.

Actually, never mind. The key is to just search for "unified." Unified Keeper League will return every single league, as they all have "league" in the name. Oh computers.

I hate having to give up my double championship team after several difficult years from taking over and totally rebuilding a crap team from a previous owner, but if this is what is needed, so be it.

The KL is still alive, just in a chemical induced coma.

All we need is someone willing to step into the commish chair & open up the league.

How many players do we have in total when substracting the players that have teams in both KL's aswell as people who have let it known that they will not be returning? The people who have not responded to as of yet maybe need to be given a deadline.

Maybe we have enough owners to form one 24 team KL if all is set and done. I wouldn't mind going back from 2 to 1 team to be honest as life is FRANTIC these past months and I don't see it changing anytime soon.

Ok, so that's a total of max. 28 people. Several people haven't reacted to Frostie's messages. Maybe time to warn them that we are likely to abandon one KL and IF they want a place in the new KL they better respond before [list a date].

Btw Tom does have a team on the KL. And a pretty good one aswell. Did I miss that he left the KL?

    Easy answer to that guys.

Log on, create the ABAKL, become commish and see how many owners return.

I'm sorry but I simple don't have the time to commish two leagues.

It looks like the ABA is going to have a large number of first year owners. We can see how many wish to move into a KL next season.

Btw Tom does have a team on the KL. And a pretty good one aswell. Did I miss that he left the KL?
My error, I see now he's in the ABAKL but not the IKL

I signed up for the new league, couldn't find the IKL listed anywhere. Guess it will be nice to start over, but was looking forward to seeing if my building was going to come to fruition overt he next couple of seasons.

Ok, I just created the ABA Keeper League, here is the link to the league page:

    http://hoops.sports.ws/league/?league=130362

    Password is: pacers

Open to all discussion about how, and when on the draft details. I will try to get together rosters listed from last season, so we can keep as much the same, as possible. I set the # of teams to 16, to accomodate a downsize, but I can alter that number if more sign in.

I would need some help at first (especially getting the hang of things, but I would take over as Commissioner of the league if nobody else wanted to. I like many others have built our teams with an i to the future, and wouldn't want that taken away.
