Default What are the best NBA/basketball statistics websites?

Okay, I need some help from all of my friends on PD. I'm taking a research methods class for graduate school and we are required to write a statistically based research paper on a topic of our choice. It was recommended to us that we choose something that interests us, so my mind immediately went to basketball. I am going to be writing a research paper on the topic of home court advantage. Does it exist, and how much of an impact does it have? So basically, I need your help to put together a list of the BEST basketball statistics sites. I need the information to be easily put into an Excel spreadsheet if at all possible, for data manipulation.

    I have always used: http://www.basketball-reference.com/

What other NBA stats sites do you guys recommend or use? I'm looking to go back at least 10-15 years with my data. Probably starting out by looking at wins and losses.

Help me out if possible! Thanks in advance Pacers fans!

The Play Index part on basketball-reference might be helpful.

    Basketballvalue is another good one.

It even lets you download the data, but unfortunately they only run back to 2005-2006. Basketball-reference is the most complete site to my knowledge.

For the specific question you're looking at (homecourt advantage), B-R should be more than enough.
