Seriously? That's an intentional foul? What has Australia been doing then?

Well, the dam did burst. Just took longer than expected.

Hopefully Kobe carries this rhythm over to Friday.

Happy with that scoreline is irrelevant because it was garbage time when they got that much ahead

....if it's garbage time, then the lead is big enough already.

The game was already over early in to the 4th USA just stepped it up to try and make themselves look good while we took the gas off the pedal

If the game is over with 8-9 minutes left, then you look good already.

in any case, I dont think Australia really stopped playing hard. The were contesting shots with 30 seconds left. It was just a case of them running out of gas and losing their poise.

USA wasn't really stepping up the pace. Either. They play at one tempo the entire game. It's just Australia started turning the ball over late and that's how USA generally runs up the score.

We were never actually gonna beat you Yanks, but happy we were able to compete over 3 quarters Bogut would've helped us maybe get to the bronze medal game, which we always seem to just lose!

For those surprised at Patty Mill's performance in these Olympics, he was actually very effective in Beijing as a 19 year old as well. He's an effective scorer, just that he's too small to be a shooting or even combo guard. Hopefully he gets a larger role with the Spurs next season...

After he made the first one I figured he'd knock in 3-4 in a row. He just had to get a rhythm.

Kobe can't just jump over defenders like he used to. He had to figure out how to get to his spots without forcing things.

I kind of want to see some owner just say screw it and do whatever it takes to acquire Argentina's entire roster, coaches and all. Just import the whole program.

Funny that I was thinking the same thing about Spain, I would love to watch that team play in the NBA.
