Thread: What's the best basketball forum (besides this one, of course)?

Does InsideHoops offer good discussion? I browsed around a little and it looks decent, although most of the users seem to be on the younger side. I actually saw someone trying to say Dwight Howard has already surpassed Bill Russel on the all-time list.

Jk. Kinda. Everyone says we have the best one when it comes to fan sites. Most the info id ever want to know can be found in almost any thread here. No need to go anywhere else for me

There are quite a few members here who are more seasoned who post regularly.

And many, nay MOST of us 'younger' folks are very basketball savvy.

Of course we have our fair share of pot-stirrers here like anywhere else.

But PD is the best Pacers site in the world, bar none.

LOL. That's hilarious. I've never used their forum so it wouldn't be fair to give an opinion but that is hilarious.

Real GM forums are pretty popular.

There are a few good forums for individual teams like the Rockets (Ripcity I think?), Mavs, Kings, and Sixers. If you're a Pacers fan, this is the best forum bar none for keeping up with all Pacers news and speculation. Overall, I think it's a subjective thing. You'll have to decide for yourself.

There is a lot more smack, but aside from that there are many knowledgeable posters and good discussions.

I check RealGM and here. RealGM is nice because it allows you to see fans of multiple teams interact and gauge how other fans view the Pacers, but I definitely prefer PD to it.

PD is no doubt the best specific Pacers forum, but RealGM is the best overall basketball forum I've seen thus far.

    Unfortunately I'm banned there lol

The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

reddit.com/r/nba is a pretty good community.

Trolls/childish comments get buried pretty quickly with downvotes. And I already waste too much time on that site looking at funny pictures and stuff.

It's too bad the r/indianapacers section doesn't have many readers.

InsideHoops is terrible. It's a gathering of nothing but 13 year old Kobe/Lebron homers. For general NBA discussion RealGM's pretty solid, probably about as good as it gets. Which is kind of a bummer.

I think I am biased, but this is far and away the best NBA forum on the interwebs. Thunderfans.com isn't bad, probably up there but PD is the best by FAR.

Agree. Fellow redditor here. Love r/nba, it displays content on a voting system so only threads that others find interesting will show up on the frontpage. I go there to get updated on everything else not pacer related. Definitely worth a look.
