He always could talk the talk... Much like with Granger, I was one of the first to advocate trading JO as soon as it was apparent we were going nowhere with him as our "leader". I also feel he's overrated, like Granger, amongst most Pacers fans. But I do think he'd be good for this team and I'd be more than happy to welcome him back to the Pacers. We may have some big bodies, but they are bigs with very little experience.

I don't have any ill will towards Jermaine, but his time here is up.

We have plenty of bigs and really don't need an often injured guy who at best is good for 15 minutes a night.

must be summer jermaine is putting out his annual "I feel the best I have felt in years" speech but at least this time he's putting it out there that he'll play for whatever he's offered that's different.

I'd take JO for the minimum...rather have him then pendergraph or Tyler even.

Before Bird left, I would have said there's no way in hell the Pacers would bring back JO.

    Now, however...it wouldn't shock me.

With Donnie back, JO may retire here after all. I would like to see that.

Correction: Donnie would make the only bid, and proceed to outbid himself.

As a player I really like JO a lot. He did whatever was asked of him and was a positive force in the community. I never blame a player for injuries. He tried his hardest the entire time he was here. I don't blame the bad contract on him as well. Would you take a big pay raise if your boss offered it to you? I would like to see JO walk away as a Pacer one day. I think his wisdom of being around the league would be very helpful to our bigs.

My guess, without watching the video, is that he is trying to say that he is willing and able to "dominate the paint".

Now that JO would be able to play PF instead of C, there might be a place for him. Not at anything much above League Minimum, but I'd be fine with having him retire here with that in mind.

I'd love for the Pacers to sign him. He averaged about 6 pts, 6 rebs, and 1.7 blks per game. His defense is still very good... better than anyone on our bench for sure.

He mentioned in the interview that he's been getting the same blood spinning therapy for his knees that Kobe, TMac, and Brandon Roy have been having success with. He tore ligaments in his wrist last year, which ended his season, so at least his knees weren't a problem last year.

He's worked out for the Lakers and it sounds like Kobe and Mike Brown would like to add him for the minimum. He said a lot of the same stuff he always says in the summer but his focus now is on winning a championship and being in a system where he is comfortable to play his game.

I agree - I was floored. Granted things have gotten out of hand the last decade or so but look who is missing off that list!

I would say there are 6 sure fire Hall of Famers on the list (Shaquille O’Neal, Kevin Garnett, Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Patrick Ewing & David Robinson) and 4 maybes (Chris Webber, Jason Kidd, Allen Iverson & Dirk Nowitzki)

Ewing is low because his career began in the mid 80's when players didn't make near the money they do now. Ewing entered the league in 1985 while Webber entered in 1993. Had Ewing entered the league a decade later then he would be much much much much higher on the list. Ewing is the only guy on that list who played in the 1980's.
