    Default Pacers Digest Get Together

Members of Pacers Digest have been getting together a couple times a year to meet the friends we have made here on line.

Everyone that reads or post here on Pacers Digest is invited to attend. These very casual meet and greets are usually held on a Saturday late afternoon or evening.

This thread is only to gauge interest in having another get together sometime in late summer or early fall.

If there is enough interest we can look into scheduling a date, as well as attempting to finding a location.

    Questions, comments?

    Thanks

Even though I haven't made one in awhile I would love to do this. Mid August is bad for me though.

So will this be the last Pacers Digest party or will it be the new name forum party?

Actually it's not... one of the first parties I (and Mrs. RWB) went to was maybe 99 or 98? Back then it was just called the Pacers Forum party with a total of about 7 or 8 in attendance. Looking back I believe it was Jose, Peck, maybe Diamond Dave, Unclebuck, Fire the Coach, Doug, Arkman, and IndyGeez. The next year Kegboy, Gnome, Grace, Tim, Magic Rat and I think Hicks were on board too. The moral to the story is the names may change, members may change, but once you're part of the Pacer fanatic family your always family.

You are about 2 months too late......you couldn't post this question sometime between May 17th to 20th during Game 3 and 4 when I was actually in Indianapolis where I could have met most of you?

If I have at least 2 weeks notice and it's somewhere in central IN I'd probably be in. Well, if there's booze anyway.

I sure would like to see everybody again... been a loooong time since my last PD get together. My work schedule makes it hard to plan things in advance but I'm totally going to the next one if I can...!

Jose, one of these days I am going to make a special trip to attend a forum meeting. For me, it would only make sense to do it attached to a game, so I'll wait for one in the fall or so.

In Chicago now, but might be able to make it. I'll be heading back to South Korea in October, so this might be my last chance, haha.

Not until all the burn bans are lifted. I can picture the headline in the Star "Multitude of Indiana Pacers fans arrested for violating burn ban."

Hmmm. Has there ever been a "shunning" at the gathering. Could be a first.

My problem with attending has always been work. I'm in the tourist industry, so getting away on a Saturday is next to impossible.

Wait, maybe that is why these are always on Saturdays?

If it's before school starts in late August, I'd love to come.

If not, I'd be looking for other Purdue guys to ride down with.

Our August is bats with the 25th being the only Saturday that MIGHT still be open. September is a little better being the 8th or 15th.

Our place is available for those dates, though it might be better to get to one of the other sides of town to make it easier for some folks to get there.
