Default Gerald Green discussed on Grady and Big Joe

Very interesting interview with Nets color man Tim Capshaw on 1070 the fan this morning, with Michael Grady and Conrad Brunner.

He said Gerald Green is very appreciative to be back in the NBA and will continue to work hard dispite his new 3 year contract. Says the Pacers got a huge steal.

A few other comments. He is a very good defender. Has legit 3 point range which surprised Capshaw, very quick to the basket, an amazing athlete. Has a very good post up game because of his ability to elevate over the defender. Praised Green as a very genuine person.

Only negitive was Green's ball handling ability ( very similar to our other amazing athlete Paul George.)

I'd not be surprised to see Gerald Green ( personal comment here) drive Paul George to improve. Green could well end up averaging 11-14 ppg off the Pacers bench backing up at both small forward and shooting guard.

I was very encouraged by Capshaw's opinions as he watched Green every game last season as a Net. I have a feeling we will see a lot of # 5 Green jersey's in Bankers Life this coming winter.

I'll definitely get a Green jersey if/when I can afford it, and I don't even have a Paul George jersey yet. I'm pretty excited to see how this team meshes together after they get some practices in together, and the preseason starts. I really hope Augustin can be that facilitator that we need. Watch some of the Gerald Green highlight dunks, where Deron Williams runs the break, slows it down by staying at the perimeter and attracting attention from the defense, then throws a pass to a cutting Green. That's very much what we need from Augustin.

Our arena, their arena, Rucker park, it just doesn't matter. We're bigger, longer, younger, faster, and hungrier.

11-14ppg is all I'm really hoping for from our bench wing man.

I would pay money to see a Paul George/Gerald Green dunk contest at FanJam.

Gerald Green was the best pickup the Pacers managed this offseason.

Looking forward to seeing him on the court.
