Default OKC Offers Harden and Ibaka for Dwight

    http://www.clickorlando.com/news/Sou...4/-/index.html

If I'm Orlando I do this deal maybe try to get a pick also. If I'm OKC only if Dwight is signed.

Howard is a complete idiot if he doesn't jump on with OKC. It would show that all he cares about is the market he's in and not about winning. I really don't want to see Howard end up there the way he has conducted himself but I think OKC would be the heavy favorite to win it all if this happens.

If I'm ORL, I tell Dwight to suck it up and make this deal in a heartbeat.

Of course I would also like to see Orlando send Dwight to the worst market NOT in the Central Division as well.

ya it would be hard to root for okc any longer. i still would no matter what if they faced the heat again. not a fan of howard after the soap opera he conducted this previous season.

wow. this would be a huge deal. okc would be great for many years.

When that doesn't happen, send them Roy for those two and it's a deal.

If this trade happens, LeBron better take care of his ring.

I don't know how they can pass on this.
This is better than getting 2 top 5 picks, those can bust. They may be in the playoffs next year after this.
OKC won't take Hedo, etc, but who cares. most of those bad contracts will expire in 2 years.

I like OKC and I like Dwight Howard. Harden choked against Miami and I think Dwight will be all over the rim. It will be very, very tough to guard Durant, Westbrook and a rested Dwight Howard.

OKC is Dumb.. They should have offered Harden+Perkins..

Ibaka is too good to trade.. That front court would be filthy..

Anyhow, this might be a rumor from Orlando's point.. Maximize Dwights value asap.

If it happens and the team gels, it's over. They would be completely unstoppable.

Orlando would likely laugh at Harden and Perkins.

How do you know that they didn't try it already and it got rejected?

Orlando would be stupid not to take this deal. Clear the air of the Dwightmare and gain two solid players, with Harden possibly being a star. They can rebuild with solid players.

Magic might even be able to trade Hedo/Redick for Perkins on that deal.

I hope Howard doesn't end up in OKC. IMO, the way he has handled this entire situation in Orlando has been terrible. I don't think the guy deserves to go to a top team like OKC with such a great fanbase.

I guess I am in the minority here, but I wouldn't take this deal as is. I would require at least a 1st round pick to be included. Neither Harden or Ibaka are players you build a franchise around. They are above average role players. Dwight is a franchise changer. Hell, I would at least force them to take on a bad contract at the least.

Yes Harden sucked in the finals, but the dude was the 3rd best SG in the entire league last year, hardly just an "above average role player"

I would send Howard to Charlotte for next to nothing just to make him miserable.

At best they would get a late first round pick because there is no way that OKC is going to be a bad team in the next few years, so they wouldn't get a great player anyway. Here, they can at least get Harden, who is young and great, and Ibaka who is a very good defensive big man.

There is a local sports channel down in Orlando known for making up fake stuff, like Bird meeting with the Magic.

Guessing this may be it, since no where else is reporting such a thing.

According to Bleacher Report, Orlando offered Howard for those two in March. That is where I think this came from.

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...-dwight-howard

According to Brian K. Schmitz, the Orlando Magic Insider for the Orlando Sentinel, the Magic spoke to the Oklahoma City Thunder about Dwight Howard.

The trade would send Serge Ibaka and James Harden to Orlando and Howard would join Durant and Westbrook in Oklahoma City.

The Thunder reportedly denied the deal, as there was no guarantee that Howard would remain with the team, and Harden and Ibaka would have been dealt for nothing.

Imagine that this were to go through. The Thunder now have the best big three in the league, maybe even in NBA history. With the league's best scorer, center and a top point guard, the Thunder would be almost guaranteed a championship ring.

If Howard were to agree to sign with the Thunder, they would be the most dominant team in the league by far. Already considered to be one of the best, if Superman were to land in OKC, even Miami would have trouble stopping them.

The deal would be perfect for both teams, as Orlando would add a developing big man to the roster, along with one of the league's most elite bench scorers.

For Howard, if he's really after a ring, there are few teams quite as enticing as the Thunder, and if it can be done, he should agree to join Durant.

If the rumor is proved to be true, it should definitely impact Howard's decision and force him to reconsider which teams belong on his wish list.
