I'll take Green for 3.3 mil per year over the 8 or 9 million per that Mayo will get.

Dahntay is not even close to Gerald Green. He can shoot the three and he is 6'8" and he is very athletic.....

Well, He isn't Corey Brewer, But I'll take that 6'8" that can jump out of the gym and actually can shoot! Good deal at 3yrs. 10 mil.

If Green plays like he did last year it's a steal(he looked like he matured and finally learned to shoot just a little). The dude looked great but again was only a small sample size on a bad team. I love the risk reward of the trade if he pans out hell of a value for a guy who can score at will. If he doesn't do what he did last year the financial terms dont kill us.

What's with all the Mayo love around here? Dude is decent, but nothing great. I guess he is still a big name form his hyped days.

Main thing with Mayo.....he has to want to sign here. I can't imagine him being happy coming off the bench again.

Yeah, I've seen him play. He's an athletic freak with D+ basketball skills. He got minutes on a crappy team, put up numbers and made some highlight dunks. He will have a couple of "Holy ****!!!" moments, and a lot of "What the ****..." moments. Can he contribute on a winning team and play solid defense while not looking for the highlight play every time he gets the ball? I'm skeptical. Not totally upset with the contract, but I'm skeptical.

Because Gerald Green is better than DJ, not to mention more SF-sized.
Dahntay knew his role. We know what we were getting with him. Green....lets just say this is the first time he's getting guaranteed money. After playing with a glorified d-league team + d-will sometimes. With Avery Johnson as his coach. I'm not holding my breath on him being better.

I think its because we almost acquired him twice already so everyone has done their research on him. In any case, he's going to the Suns after NOLA matches the EJ offer sheet. They will pay him more than we wanted to pay him. And Lee's going to get paid a lot in Boston.

That is why I love it I am not sure if he will pan out but for those terms I am more than happy to find out.

This move and re-signing Hibbert are the only moves I like thus far, and I consider inactivity a move.

I saw that account but I was thinking this one is his real one:

    https://twitter.com/GeraldGreen_

He follows several NBA players who have "confirmed" twitter profiles and those players have tweeted him. I know that doesn't mean this is his official one I am just speculating.
