Default Gerald Green to Pacers [bumped]

    Peter Vecsey‏@PeterVecsey1

Help me out here. Coming in late. Has it been reported that Gerald Green is leaving Nets for Pacers? If not, consider it reported.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

I told you guys in Brooks thread, Green outplayed him in second half of the season. Good signing for backup sg-sf hope it hapens.

here is nets fan take from last season
    Insanely athletic.
    Solid finisher
Great from distance in catch and shoots.
    Decent off ball slashing ability.
    Beast in transition.
Seemed to have a good attitude and a hard worker.
    Solid defender.

Lateral quicks are surprisingly average for his athleticism, but very good recovery speed.
    Awful handle.
    Limited passing ability.
Even though he shouldn't be forefront of an attack, still disappears to often.
Still raw after all these years.

Overall if he can improve he can be a very good role player at off the bench at either wing spot and has the rare remaining potential to be an average starting small forward if your 2 is a high usage guy.

Gerald Green has officially agreed to a contract with the Indiana#Pacers. Great move, bringing in scoring off the bench.

    We're certainly getting more athletic.

If GG has matured he would be a nice addition...depending on the contract. I think he is a better fit than Courtney Lee or OJ Mayo though simply because he has more size to play small forward.

We usually agree, but we're on opposite ends of this one. I'm digging it, especially if we get a Tyler for DJ deal in there.

Don't expect him to give you the same type of numbers as last year in NJ. He isn't getting 25 mins a game in Indiana.

If that happens and the contract is short and reasonable, I'm lukewarm. Gerald Green does nothing for me. Zip.
