Dahntay made strides last year, laugh at me all you want, but I think he is pretty underappreciated.

Collison is damn good for a backup PG, he has fringe starter potential.

This is a lot to give up for a backup center. And four years of a backup center. Right after we drafted a backup center in the first round. Ugh.

hmm, his stats don't look half bad.
I still don't like the deal and hope that a draft pick is headed our way, but his production (relative to playing time) isn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. I also suspect this deal was made to help give us a little more wiggle room to make a big free agent acquisition (I'm thinking Mayo).

So does this mean we are bringing Barbosa back like some have suggested?

Plumlee reminds me of a young Dale Davis. Good rebounding and he contests shots well on defense and his offensive game is very raw just like DD's was coming out of college.

We gained what, like 2 mil of cap space from this? Depends on the structure of the deal I guess.

No (proven) backup point. More money to spend. Mayo wants to be a point...

This makes no sense....We just drafted Plumlee to back up Roy due to his "amazing athleticism", and then we trade for a 6'11" center that has a career average of 12 minutes per game?? We get rid of a solid, up and coming PG and a SG that really came into his own last year.....This doesn't even make sense.....Collison is on a rookie contract and Dante makes what, 3M a year.....What is this trade benefitting us???

    I call BS.....

Man, Pacer fans are NOT happy right now. Wondering if another deal is around the bend.

If this move helps the Pacers dump salary to bring in better players, then I'll probably like this move. But really, the Pacers couldn't get anything better for Darren Collison?

Agreed. I am praying something else is in the works, and it happens soon before we all go crazy.

That contract for Mahinmi is terrible.

I mean, obviously I hope this is a precursor to another deal(s), but WOW that contract is bad.

The guy is a Center. He averaged 5ppg/5rpg in 20 minutes...as a Starter for 25 mpg in 12 games...he averaged 7ppg/6rpg. What's more important is that I think that he's capable of playing both West AND Hibbert in the lineup.

But this still baffles me as to why we drafted Miles.

As Jose Slaughter said...I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. No way do I think that Lance is ready to be the backup PG...nor do I think that the FO does either.
Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.

This is David West, he is the Honey Badger, West just doesn't give a *****....he's pretty bad *ss cuz he has no regard for any other Player or Team whatsoever.

Come on we're paying him half of what Asik got, and he put up better numbers.

This is a cap saving move, and clearing PG minutes. Rumor is Mayo wants to play some PG, and a little more money. Maybe?
