If we don't improve our PG situation via free agency, then Canaan is the guy I would want

Well, they do share the same agent (Bouna Ndiaye). Ndiaye also represents Batum, Fournier, Seraphin, Beaubois, and Mozgov.
I've been interested in Mozgov for awhile now. Walsh brought him to the Knicks then he was part of the Melo trade. He started for the Knicks at one time. He's stuck on the bench in Denver. "IF" Mahinmi could truly play PF, I'd like to get Mozgov as the b/u 5. From what I saw of him last season, he is big, rebs, plays decent "D", and I even saw him put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket which surprised me. I believe he's in a QO year at around 3.5 mil.

Pipe dream, Green for Mozgov with Iggy possibly leaving. Salaries match, and both Green and Mozgov would be playing in better systems for their games. If it would get a deal done, hrow in a future 2nd and the infamous Stanko, JMOAA

As to your rumor of some Euro Player getting some Promise.....is it possible that it's the Mavs...who not only wants to minimize the amount of Salary on the books for this upcoming season but is rumored to either trade out of the draft completely or trading down ( based off of rumors that they may trade down to the 19th spot while dumping Marion to the Cavs....which would put them in the 2nd half of the draft in the 1st round )?
One of my favorite draft-related daydreams is us landing Dallas' #13, and thinking that they'd draft Gobert at #26 and stash him for a year or two only feeds my dreams. Besides wondering what the exchange would entail, I ache to know what player TPTB would covet at #13. It's gotta be someone who can contribute next season. Several have mentioned the "shelf" that Chad Ford has alluded to after the top 10. So unless one of those top 10 slides (Muhammad?), who would we really want in that next batch of 20 that we'd be willing to trade up for?

Why Canaan over Erick Green? I really want Green, especially if he has Hill as his main comp.

Yeah, that'd be nice to get the 13th. I wonder if that and the 23 can move up to 10 and take CJ McCollum if he's still there.

Adetokunbo, pictures like this are kind of wow-inducing. Crazy length and size for a wing. Huge hands too.

This international class seems really raw and under-developed but packed with loads and loads of potential.

Canaan, Hardaway Jr, Snell, Karasev are the 4 prospects I'd take at #23 as of right now. No particular order

Do we really need to take another wing though? We have PG, Lance, Granger, Johnson and Green.Everyone except Green will be solid contributors next season it appears. So unless Granger is traded or planning to get traded I don't see why the Pacers need another wing. OJ appears ready to be the 2nd spark off the bench behind either Granger or Lance. Green is a capable backup to the backup.

You're forgetting the chance of DG's knee acting up.

Also if DG is healthy I can see him playing some PF when West is on the bench resting.

I see what you are saying, but Green and OJ are not solid shooters. Hardaway would be a very solid shooter off the bench and who says we re sign OJ anyways

I'm really starting to like Muscala. I just started watching tape on him earlier today and I'm impressed. Him and Erick Green are 1 and 2 on my draft board for the Pacers. A dream scenario is trading #23 for the Cavs #31 and #33 picks to draft both of them.

I don't get this neg attitude about OJ who now has a year under his belt for Hardaway who has never laced up a set of sneakers on a NBA court. Too many are underesimating OJ for a nice new shiney draft prospect.

    I don't see Green staying as a 2nd rd pick... late 1st.

OJ was a solid shooter till he hit a rookie wall.

He is signed for $788,872 for next season (hoopshype), and it's very unlikely you'll find a better player for that kind of money.

Muscala kind of reminds me of Plumlee but with a much better offensive game.

I like Muscala, but I just think there are a number of good PG's in this draft and we desperately need a backup PG. i dont think Backup C is a real need.

Not to mention, I share the same concerns about Muscala as everyone else, with him primarily playing subpar talent

I've been reading up on Green, I'm liking him more and more. Green has some impressive efficiency stats for his usage rate. He's bigger than Canaan and Larkin, two PG's I also like.

But backup PF is. Muscala can play as a stretch 4 with defense.

Muscala barely shoots 50% from 2 point in the Patriot League. He was awful against Butler in the tourney. No thanks.

After watching a few videos on Canaan, I'm already sold. Besides being a pretty good basketball player he also seems really down to earth.

It is. Prior to this year the only player that I knew from this class was Karasev (and Saric but he pulled out of the draft).
