I enjoyed the Eric Green analysis. You mentioned him on your "short list". What other players are on your "short list"? The players names would be just fine for right now, if you don't mind saying who they are. Looking forward to seeing who they are.

If you want shot blocking, then Withey is your guy
    Why?

Noel averaged 4.4 bpg in 31.9 minutes compared to Withey's 3.9 bpg in 30.9 minutes. Even blocks per 40 minutes, Noel has 5.54 to Withey's 4.97.

Nah, he's going to get drafted by Detroit. How I'd love to see the IU fans cry about their guy being drafted by the Pistons and having to watch the Pistons' games to see him play! Oh how sweet it would be. LOL!!!

Yes, I have been known to have a cruel streak at times. Even worse for IU fans is that MJ drafts him. Even I wouldn't wish that on Olapido.
I honestly don't think a single IU fan would really care. Once they get to the NBA, I follow the guys and root for them, but don't make it a point to watch their games or root for their teams.

i say we resign west for around 10 mill, depending on what happens with danny, if he restructures for about 5-6 mill per year we keep him only if hes 100% otherwise we trade him and save $11-$14 mill extra. In free agency, lets go after jarrett jack as he can play the one and hill can slide to the 2 guard sometimes, im guessing he would want around $5.5 mill per for a one year deal. And if we can land him and a PF such as Carl Landry for around 4-5 mill per year and/or Pendergraph, then i think our bench is better than this years by far. Yes this means we let tyler walk, as Jack fills his scoring roll and more. Then sign the two draftees that was aquire.

    So
    PG- Hill, Jack, Possible Draftee
    SG-Lance, Johnson, Possible Draftee
SF-Paul George, Gerald Green, Possible Draftee
PF- David West, Pendergraph and/or Landry, Possible Draftee
    C- Roy Hibbert, Ian, Miles

    Thoughts?

West likely has played himself into a $12 to $13 mil per year / 3 to 4 year contract.

I don't agree with it, but not gonna begrudge him for it. All you can hope is that a kid gets good counsel that will tell him the realistic positives and negatives of going pro or not. Nobody gave Zeller much crap for staying that I remember.

Sullinger and Perry Jones are two names that come to my mind of guys that probably should have not gone back to school. They went from lottery projections to almost out of the 1st round in one season if I recall correctly.

they also both had medical red flags that took them completely of some teams boards. those red flags would've popped up regardless of when they came out.

Scotty Hopson was a player that shouldn't have returned.

He was a 5* recruit coming into Tennessee. He went from 9.2pts to 12.2pts to 17.0pts but for whatever reason, he went undrafted after he came out after his junior season. He was a possible lottery pick after his first two seasons based on potential alone. He really should have left after his first two seasons or return for a 4th season.

And Tobias Harris was another 5* recruit that in the end made the right choice. He was going to return for his sophomore season until Bruce Pearl was forced out. A lot of people thought he made the wrong choice because he probably wouldn't be a lottery pick. He was taken 19th and ended up buried on the Bucks bench for the past season and a half. Now that he's in Orlando, he made the right choice to enter. In 26 games(19 starts) with Orlando he's averaging 17.2pts 8.5rebs 2.1asts 1.4blks 0.9stls and just 1.8to's. He's shooting 45.4% from the field, 32.1% behind the arc and 75.0% from the line. In the mean time, he was averaging just 5.0 and 4.9 points with the bucks because they didn't play him. I always thought he was similar to Danny Granger but turns out he might be much better. They're the same size but he's more physical, that's for sure. Kid is only 20 years old...

What are the odds that Tim Hardaway jr falls low enough for the Pacers and what do you all think of him as a prospect?

Blake Griffin though is an example of a guy who had the opposite happen.

Tim fits on the Pacers because we can hide his defensive flaws and he has natural tools that could make him a good defender and also has the ability to handle the ball which we should value in our wing guys. I wouldn't be unhappy with him at our pick, but with Pulp's development this year, I think it's unlikely personally.

The newest DraftExpress mock draft is out. It has the Pacers drafting Sergey Karasev at #23 ans Tim Hardaway at #53.

Ok, Nuntius tell who this guy is.

When is the draft in June?
What is the date players have to backout of the draft to still keep their college eligibility?

Who better than him ? The Harris twins from UK ? The kid who is going to Michigan ? If he develops a mid range game and gets bigger / stronger than he will be top 5. Keep in mind PG24 grew an inch after the Pacers drafted him.
