You know Will if you'd have polled Pacer fans on here 95% would have been sure Hibbert would re-sign quickly and George Hill would be the one signing an offer sheet elsewhere.

Very good example of things aren't always as they are predicted to be.

I wasn't sure of that happening, but that's what I thought.

I think the front office is trying to do mostly what Vogal wanted. He wanted the same team back. I think we will probably lose a couple players though. Price for one? Don't know if he would be interested in coming back as a third backup.

    Pryzbilla won't come cheap.

I'd say with Bird gone I could see JO now being signed for 1 day just to retire as a Pacer. Otherwise, no to bringing back JO.
JO doesn't plan on retiring this season. He was just over in Germany getting that treatment Kobe got and plans on making a return.

I would take JO back for the vet minimum.

Looks like Brandon Bass might be financially squeezed out in Boston (plus them adding Sullinger):

Perhaps a sign and trade with us for Tyler or DC?

I wouldn't mind bringing JO back as a backup C. Now that Donnie is back in charge, that just became possible, I think.

This may not be too far-fetched.

IIRC, Danny Ainge wanted to swing Hans and a pick for Ray Allen last year at the deadline, but LB turned him down.

Would you be ok to have Bass/Kaman instead of Roy/Tyler? sign Kaman and do a sign and trade for Bass for Tyler? what do you think?

    Nick Easterday
Let’s say Toronto signs Steve Nash… Do they then try to acquire a wing scorer? Who would be some players that are attainable?
    Bill Ingram
They’re looking for a three . . .either via trade or in free agency. Rudy Gay might be available, possibly Paul George, too, if the Pacers match Hibbert and need cap space. Iguodala .

90s, you need to stop taking Hoopsworld so seriously. They are idiots, there's really no nice way to put it.

Yeah, Paul George by all accounts is a bargain. If we were looking to move a wing for cap space, it would be either Granger or to a lesser extent Dahntay Jones.

I don't get this, unless the plan is to flip Wallace/Johnson/pick(s) for Dwight.

Deron Williams, Joe Johnson, and Gerald Wallace is a nice backcourt.

Maybe it's all a bluff for Orlando --- "hurry up, or we'll be off the table".
or maybe Prokhorov got tired. Remember how he called off Melo negotiations?

How much can they offer Humphries?

D-Will/JJ/Crash/Humphries/Lopez and Green/Brooks off the bench would not be too shabby. I'm not sure how far they'd go but it'd be a well-built team (essentially replacing the Hawks in the EC ladder).

Appreciate the comment brah, but I give them a little more credibility than that. Just my opinion though

judging by how that Johnson deal is structured, they'd be getting Johnson via trade exception.
Which means they'd be able to keep Humphries / Lopez at any cost.

I agree btw, they are basically Hawks but they'd also have a couple upside guys. It's a nice plan B.

They can keep them based on Bird rights alone so it doesn't matter if its a trade expection.
