That's freaking ridiculous. I mean seriously. Seeing how he was originally given an un-guaranteed contract and was about to be cut by the Knicks before he finally got a chance to start because of injuries, he doesn't owe the knicks nor their fans anything. I'm all for being passionate about a team, but this is going a bit too far. Funny thing is, they can hate on him all they want, but dude's still paid lol.
    i can't wait for the Rockets@MSG though!

So he doesn't need to worry about making $25 million because he could get a 6 figure job? lol...

That HAS to be nationally televised! I bet Lin lights up MSG too. I was never too big on Linsanity, but he normally played pretty well in high profile games (minus the Heat game of course)

Of course he'll light up MSG. Ray Felton'll be "guarding" him.

Not if Felton eats him up first. Literally.

And to steal a Family Guy joke: Of course, he'll be hungry again an hour later.

Are they burning his jersey in NYC yet? New Yorkers are some of the stupidest people in the country.

Those ones posted don't represent anything close to the majority of the Knicks fans I've seen commenting around the internet. A large percentage don't hold any ill will towards Lin from what I've seen, get that money and all. They just hate Dolan for not matching, and a number of other things. I mean HATE Dolan.

Actually I understand their anger towards Lin.

He agreed to a deal, found out they would match it, and ran back to the Rockets to have the deal re-done in a manner that they wouldn't match.

If Roy Hibbert did that, this place would be going freaking absurd.

Dolan told Lin to go out and find the best offer he could find. This was after Lin told them he wanted to re-sign with the team and not negotiate with anyone else (got that from a story on ESPN)

All of Lin's negotiations came with Hou. Once they found out the Knicks would match the original offer they upped it. Was Lin supposed to agree to less when Hou was willing to pay more?

The Rockets have waived Jon Leuer and Jerome Jordan. When they clear waivers, Rockets will sign Omer Asik to offer sheet.

i can't remember Jerome Jordan at all, but Leuer would be a great addition at minimum cost.

If true, this right here tells me the Knicks didn't have any true intentions to keep Lin in the first place. If they were interested, it wouldn't make sense to tell the player to "find the best offer he can." You try to get the best bargain you can without getting other teams involved.

Perhaps the Knicks should have kept their mouths shut about matching the offer and Houston might not have poisoned it......

the Knicks were very limited in what they could offer. Basically, up to midlevel deal.

it always seemed like consensus that the midlevel would be Lin's floor.

I could see the Knicks saying "go talk to other teams", but only because they couldn't offer anything close to his value themselves.
Like, the original 4/28 deal which the Knicks reportedly were fine with.

This whole "I didn't want to negotiate with anyone else" claim seems like a PR spin.
You mean, you wanted to stay at midlevel (4/22), but the Knicks refused, so you were forced to go get 3/25? It doesn't sound credible.

He absolutely would. Our bench is in dire need of a big with any semblance of an offense game. Leurer'd be a great add, young and cheap.

I didn't hear all of Mike and Mike this morning, but most of the Knicks fans who's calls they played that I did hear regarding Lin thought not matching was the right move to do.

Leuer is one I wanted in the draft for our 2nd round pick. Smart player and a really good shooter for a big. He didn't show alot of grit last year, but he can play. I'd get him for under a mil.. Especially if Pacers are still looking to trade Hans.

As expected, Toronto signed Jonas Valanciunas, their 5th overall pick last year.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's claimed by someone. Every team in the league is eligible since he only makes the minimum.

    stay classy knicks fans
Next time someone brings up the fact that racism is receding in this country I'll bring this post up. If an athlete or public figure said some of those things they would be in sensitivity training or out of a job. Sad indeed.

Yet another reason for me to hate the Knicks fanbase.....yep....total class from the NYC fans.
