Ash from Army of Darkness: Good...Bad...I'm the guy with the gun.
If Kaman finalizes a deal with Dallas Wed. wouldn't that take Dallas out of the Brand sweepstakes. They would have to do a lot of work right now in order to find space to bid, let alone signing Kaman to more then 10mil per year.
hmmm, I really don't have the will to crunch #'s right now, but I really won't to know. I'm having a hard enough time typing correctly as it is! Thank god for backspace.

Should say "replacement All Star." Always bugs me when a guy makes the ASG one time and for the rest of his life he's always called All Star.
Roy might not be an all star if it wasn't for Al Horford going down and really Tyson Chandler deserved the nod as well. I feel Roy was chosen as a reward for the Pacers whole team.
Really though being an all star is overrated playing at an all star level is not though. and some guys who didnt make it last year were playing at an all-star level as well so just going by who makes the game isnt quite fair IMO.

Brooklyn has reached agreement on a 4-year, $61 million max deal with Brook Lopez, league source tells Y! Sports.
The Hibbert contract is looking good right now.
I am interested to see what Kaman makes. This will tell me if Hibbert is overpayed. In a world where Olmer Asik gets over 8 mil I am guessing no.
Is All-Star center Vin Baker available?
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)
Mavericks to sign free agent center Chris Kaman to a one-year deal paying $8 million, source tells Yahoo! Sports.
I was hoping we'd get Kaman for this, as he would provide some much-needed inside scoring off the bench. I think Dallas still will find a way to bid on Brand, so methinks we'll need to bid more than a "bargain price."
I'm not enticed by Mayo at $8M or Lee for $6M, so get a back-up SF cheap (Green? Delfino?) and again wait til mid-season to trade for/pick up some instant offense.
