RT @ajchawks: Source says #Hawks had interest in #Bulls F Kyle Korver but he's likely headed to Minnesota in trade.

Sounds like the Bulls might match Asik's deal...that is absolutely insane IMO...but hey feel free to lock up more money on a backup center.
Although the Rockets have succeeded in really screwing up the Bulls and Knicks SalaryCap in the near future.....they have swung and missed on both the top Free Agents that they went after.

I would love to have Korver, we could also probably try to see if we can trade DC with Tyler and pickup Watson and Brand?

Bench: Watson, DJ, Lance, Brand, X center?

Yeah, I agree Hicks, but let's not forget this is a division rival and both sides would hate to be perceived to be "helping the enemy/direct competition". So, I have trouble seeing this come to fruition, but who knows.

Among Nets' reasons to push for Dwight finality today, sources say, is fear Blazers will sign RFA Brook Lopez after Indy matched on Hibbert

Always felt that was dumb, but I've heard the argument for over a decade. If it makes you better, unless you think you're putting them in position to beat you for sure, then just do it and get better.

If the Blazers make a MAX Offer to Brook and he signs it....does that mean that if the Nets match it....that they cannot include him in any trade to send to the Magic for Dwight ( since a "signed and matched" RFA can't be traded immediately )?

My guess is that he can't be sign then traded immediately.

If that is the case....I can only laugh.

If I were a gambling man ( I am ), I'd live with OJ/Lance as our 4th Wing Man ( or some other cheap FA WingMan ), then call up the Nets and Humphries Agent to see if we can get the same package that the Cavs were getting ( Humphries S&T + QRich + $$$$ + future 1st round pick + Sundita Gaines ) while offering a $8 mil per year / 3 year contract / $24 mil deal to Humphries.

Yeah, that would effectively crush the deal.

Yep, that is the reason why Brooks is pushing the Nets to sign and trade him today.

Blazers need to slap on their troll face and offer Lopez a deal.

You stated he never played on a good team. If you don't like being proven wrong, don't make the statement. You never said he had to have play big minutes or score big points, but he never played on a good team.
So he must be the best player on the team PER 36! GOTTA HAVE HIM!

How much are you assuming Green's going to get? Nets just signed Jerry "I'm Old" Stackhouse, btw.
Sorry, I phrased it badly. Nets are out of exceptions, other than veteran minimum. Green will definitely get more than the min, as JT pointed out he had a superb half season with the Nets. Stackhouse is probably just happy to make a roster, plus the vet min for him will be significantly higher.

I was re-thinking Courtney Lee today. I was writing him off as a Celtic, but... they already have Terry and Bradley at the two, Pierce and Green at the 3. And he wants to get paid good money, and how much can they offer him now? 5m? Could we not outbid BOS a little in that case and call it a day? He'd still be a good get off the bench.

Yep NY has nothing that I want from them, I don't think they even have picks anymore.
Yeah seriously, I think they've used up their 2nd rounders for the next 3 years, and they can't trade a first rounder for the next 4 years (due to Stepien rule).

I rather pay Mayo that kind of money, is Lee better than DJ or even Lance?

Are they over the cap? It really seems like they have to be, the timing of everything is really making it hard to tell. Celtics Bradley out for awhile so they do have a need, but I completely agree with your thoughts. I think the Pacers were probably hoping for that scenario with Lee or Mayo, but it sounds like Phoenix will go after Mayo now.

You really think that Mayo is going to come to Indy for less than the Full MLE?

He's a solid all-rounder talent, but I think he duplicates what we already have in George Hill and Paul George a little too much. Supposedly we're after a scorer who can get his own shot - that's not Lee (nor Gerald Green for that matter).

If we do dump D. Jones though, I suppose we'll have an opening for another wing.

Courtney Lee is likely to get a contract similar to Mayo's, IMO.

Lee is better than DJ and Lance, and I think PHO is going to throw 8+ at Mayo. I think we could get Lee for 6, maybe 7 tops. I could see a 3 year 18-21 deal.
