Rockets also get 2nd rounders in 2014 and 2015, and cash to pay Toney Douglas's salary (buyout?). Camby got a 3 year deal for 13.2 million.
the two 2nd rders are probably Morey's favorite get 2 more stash guys for him to collect for a long time.
Make it 20 Ballism Scott Machado will be in their camp after his summer league play
Plus a lot of those guy are on non-guaranteed deals probably not so many will be there in a few days like Jerome Jordan (maybe the Pacers give him a look the DW connection)

Houston and New York agreed on a sign-and-trade deal sending Douglas, Harrelson, Jordan to Rockets for picks, sources said.

The Rockets will get the Knicks' second round picks in 2014 and 2015, source tells Y! The Knicks will pay Toney Douglas' salary in Houston.
Frank Vogel says "Killer instinct, start strong, build a lead and then step on their throats."
I don't think the Rockets have any idea what they're doing at this point, I think that they thought they were really going to be able to put something together to get dwight...whiffed badly...and are now in shambles of anything resembling a team. What a mess...
If Camby and Kidd both play out their deals they'll both be 40
I wonder if we can get a package like that for Lou (green)
So apparently Harrelson's deal's unguaranteed. He get cut I'd pick up Jorts for the minimum.
Spurs to sign forward Danny Green to three-year, $12 million, source tells Yahoo!
There you go JT, and that is why they are the Spurs.

It's like Khan's opposite.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

@KBergCBS: Players expecting full mid-level deals are now getting 1- and 2-year offers, agents say. "The money is drying up," said one.
Let's hope we make something happen.
I imagine most teams are terrified of the coming luxury tax bonanza. Hell, they probably just want to stay out of the tax just so they can get like 25 million each from the Nets.
It's things like this that make RC Buford a GREAT GM, and Walsh just another GM.
Now, Green gets 4 mil a year and the Spurs didn't have the money to re-sign Hill? Where are they getting the money to re-sign Diaw? Hmm??
I've pointed out that generally everyone in the first week of FA gets overpaid, and yes that includes our guys Hibbert and Hill. But now that the money is apparently drying up, and our cap space is still intact, there's hope we can nab some bargains.
Though actually we'll have to wait on Portland and Phoenix first. With their RFA money freed up, they can drive a secondary wave of spending. Doesn't appear to have happened yet though.
If we can offset paying our own guys to stay by getting a steal on one of the better bench players remaining in FA then i'd consider the offseason a success.
First time in a long time, I've been happy with the team that was constructed, and now they struggle. I blame the coach.
