Bargs is a good player, but he is everything I dislike about European big men. I don't think he fits into the new direction of the organization.
Bargs reminds me of a young Dirk. Very poor defensively, but boy can he score. I wouldn't mind bringing him off the bench, but at $10M+ per year, that is hard to swallow for a backup.
I could definitely see a deal with the Lakers, where it is a Pau and Metta for Calderon and Bargnani deal. There is about $10M more in stated salary going to Toronto over the course of the deals. The Lakers save $15M this year, which is about $7-8M in LT payments this year alone. Next year, they would save just about the same amount. The Lakers would be starting those two with Bynum and Kobe, which makes the team a lot younger as well. I could see the Lakers trying to include another team to get rid of a SF for Blake.
