    Over on grantland.com

I know most here despise him, but I'm still a fan of his. Anyway, at the very least it's an interesting read about a somewhat enigmatic person.

Thanks for the link. I have enjoyed watching Jack with the Spurs during the playoffs. Still has no fear, one of the things I always loved about him.

I always have and always will respect him for doing what he did in Detroit. I love that he went in the middle of 15,000 people because his teammate was in there. If you can't love that, you don't love sports.

Stack Jack battled his *** off for this team the entire time he was here. Sure he made some off court mistakes, but when he played he gave us all he had and not everyone on those teams did that. One time I was sitting near the visitor's tunnel at the United Center during a Pacers-Bulls game and as Jack was signing autographs (as he always did in a very gracious way, to almost everyone who asked) I thanked him for being such a warrior for the team. He looked up at me kind of surprised and said "Thank you, thank you a lot man." After the game he gave me his armbands.

On the court, I loved SJax but off the court was enough for me to want him off the team. I hope he gets another title this year with the Spurs.

Dear lord! I can't believe all this support!

Stephen Jackson played the biggest role in the most pivotal second on the worst night in Pacers history and you still give him love?

If Jackson never entered the stands and threw the first punch we ligitimately may have won a championship that year... Ron wouldn't have been suspended for the whole season for just for going into the stands and having an argument... And the rest of the pacers would have most likely received zero suspensions...

Stephen Jackson was the worst thing to ever happen to the Indiana Pacers... Worse than Ron... Worse than JOB...

He's the main reason why I want OKC to win it all instead of San An...
Nothing in life worth having comes easy.

I'm assuming he's a Christian and believes his life will continue after his physical death.

I liked Jackson before he was a Pacer and continue to like him now. I don't really blame him for anything that went wrong with the Pacers. He's one of the reasons I'm rooting for the Spurs to win the title this year.

Some of you guys sound like you have battered woman snydrome.
"I know he crippled our franchise, but I just love him so much because of how loyal he was to the team and his teammates. All the bad stuff that he did through actions aren't a big deal, because deep down inside he's a wonderful person."

Goodness. Does he have to literally burn the place down before he gets some responsibility for all the crap he did while here? Obviously tearing it down by other means wasn't enough.

Our franchise being set way back wasn't any one mans fault.. We had a bunch of bad guys that compiled together to destroy the team.. It wasn't jax fault, wasn't Artest's fault, wasn't Tinsley's fault... It was all of em' mixed together. I hate Ben Wallace probably even more so than I hate Artest.. Artest really, really hurt us as a fan base, he made the mistake at the palace (which was more so Big Ben's fault) and we still did our best to support him and we came together to be strong, but then he requested a trade on us. That hurt. That's when we really turned on him. The other guys are just as guilty for bringing us down tho, I can't see us fairly blaming any one person for all that happened to us in the last few years, it was rough.

I'm not against Jax for the mistakes he made, he was supporting his teammates the whole time, he just had some BAD teammates.

The worst thing Jack did for this team was play well enough to give us enough wins to keep us from drafting higher.

FYI I consider the brawl to be "off the court"
