The Indianapolis Colts added experience at cornerback, acquiring Cassius Vaughn in a trade with the Denver Broncos. In exchange for Vaughn, the Colts sent fullback Chris Gronkowski to the Broncos.
Vaughn, is heading into his third season. The past two years, he appeared in 22 games, starting three. Vaughn and former Detroit Lions cornerback Alvin Hall are the only undrafted players since the era of the common draft to return a kickoff and interception for a touchdown in their career.
Yeah I would not really call him much of a vet, 3 games started over 2 years, limited special teams play, and a injury that caused him to miss a playing time right when he was starting to see more.
I still think it is a worth while trade but I expect for his big contributions to be more on special teams. I would be surprised if he overtook one of the current guys on the roster for the starting spot alongside Powers.
