Default Pacers vs Heat Game 1...

Saying the Heat wrap up tonight, they're an 11-point favorite, when would Game 1 be? Is there a 2nd round schedule out? The Star said likely this weekend. Would they put us in an afternoon slot or night game? Just curious.
    Here we come lottery?

I assume every game would be on National TV. Probably some of the better time slots.

For some reason, I thought I heard Game 1 wouldn't start until either Saturday or Sunday.

I would guess if the Heat wrap up tonight we would see Game 1 either be prime time Saturday or the ABC game on Sunday.

The bench HAS to show up for this series. Has to, has to, has to. It's the one advantage the Pacers can truly exploit, an edge over Miami's bench.

Need DC to keep having these stellar games, need Barbosa to get back on track. Need Hansbrough to stop getting lost out there, need Amundson to bring the positive energy he brought in R1G5 and not the clumsiness he displayed in the four games prior. Will probably need Dahntay Jones to provide some good spot defense and perimeter play.

Miami's depth is still very meh, and that's putting it nicely. The bench needs to make a big difference this series. If the bench works as the overall negative it largely did for half of the Pacers-Magic series, this one is over quick.

All this and DG and PG need to hit their open shots and play their tails off on defense.

Free throws. We're only going to get about 6 each game, we'd better hit every single one of them.

Yep. And considering I have to work Saturday night, I'm rooting like hell for Sunday.

I love it that some of our strengths are Miami's weaknesses... We have a really good Center, two good PGs, and a deep bench... I like our chances!

I do too, we can compete against the evil heat.

I just hope that Pacer nation shows up in Game 3, 4 and 6 vs. Miami like they did yesterday (game 5 vs. orlando). This is our house Pacer Fans!!!

Come on, lets fill the house again with blue and gold, not red and black. I cant wait for the first game!

I'm hoping the Knicks extend the series because I won't be able to watch live unless the game is Sunday after 5. I'm guessing we will get the prime time games though. Stupid work!

I just hope the home games scheduled during the week are bumped back to at least 7:30pm, preferably the 8pm time slot. Bad for the school kids but great for those of us traveling around the state.

My best guess and I think I am pretty good at predicting this type of stuff is game #1 would be at 3:30 Sunday afternoon.

Reason why I pick Sunday and not Saturday: The heat vs Knicks game #7 if needed would be Sunday., so we know Heat's arena is available. Only other game scheduled for Sunday even a posibility is game seven between Clips and Grizz. So if that series doesn't go 7, then Clips would play the Spurs on Sunday and which series would ABC want to have at 3:30.

Game # Pacers at Heat or Game 1 Clips at Spurs? Obviously Pacers vs heat.

So I'd be really surprised if game #1 isn't Sunday at 3:30.

That would mean more than likely we are looking at Tuesday - Thursday - Saturday schedule for first 4 games. With the game Saturday night at 8:00 on ABC. Just a guess.

Pacers vs Heat and OKC vs Lakers are the two big matchups that the network will want in the second round. Although the lakers are in a little bit of trouble right now

    THIS is it.

THIS is the chance we have to win over the critics and hopefully the large part of our dormant fan-base.

We can do it. I believe!

Question, hadn't the NBA hinted that the second round could have some back to back games? Or will we avoid that if both teams get done early?

It all depends on where the later game is played. TV would rather have the games start at 8:00 and 10:30 each night. But if the western conference game is in the central time zone such as OKC or San Antonio - that means that game will start at 9:30 and no later, therefore the eastern conference game will start at 7:00

On the radio here yesterday they said the Spurs series will start this Friday, Sunday, or Tuesday depending on what happens with the Clips and Grizz.

I think if pacers vs heat starts Sunday, there is no need for any back to backs. Games will be every other day though, all the way through

    Wouldn't there be a need for there to be a 2 day rest between Game 2 and 3 ( 1 for travel and 1 for rest/practice/whatever )?

Nope, no time for that. The only rounds where there are more than 1 days rest between games is the first round and the NBA finals. The second round and conference finals are typically every other day. No extra time for travel

Really? even in the previous seasons?

1 day rest in between all games...even with travel involved?

Can you tweet him back to see if he knows when Game 3 and 4 would be?

I need to know so that I can make any possible plans to fly in.
