    Just heard Carlisle say it....

Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

    Where did Carlisle say this?!?!?!
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

    "...Edwards is our 6th man"

Tinsley is out due to a 'wrist contusion' that occurred 'at some point last night'.

2 players (Tinsley and Pollard) will dress but will not play due to injury. That is to meet the mandatory roster requirement of 8 dressed players.

ESPN NEWS has Carlisle's new conference on live. I'm reporting as I hear it.

Carlisle also stated that Miller and Pollard asked him to play, but he would not let them.

He said this was a low point for the franchise. Players are being interviewed by league officials and will talk tomorrow as well.

I forgot how he said it but he said we could see some unusual things tonight (referring to having only 6 players and the foul situation).

They said it's a contusion in Tinsley's shooting hand.

Well...I am assuming Edwards/Harrison will accumulate a few technicals tonight.

He also said the organization was behind the players. He hoped fans of the team, people of the state and the NBA itself would support the Pacers.

Good. Good, I am GLAD he is saying that. I hoep they fight the suspension if it is unreasonable.

Tinsley injured too? Sigh. Guess all hope for a miracle victory tonight is out the window.

I'm not sure I agree with not letting the guys who are asking to play not play though. Playing just 6 guys gonna be risking even more injuries. Sure Pollard could walk around out there for 5-10 minutes without a problem just to give us some relief.

He said Pollard would risk re-injury and they hope to have him for the next game. On Reggie: Carlisle said he's no Dr but when he looked at the X rays and saw two bones that looked like (I guess he made a motion with his hands/fingers but I was on the computer and could hear but not see) then that person isn't ready play.

I have to wonder, if that was a fresh x-ray, if something happened to the hand last night. I'm no Dr either but I wouldn't expect the bones to look 'wrong' at this point in the healing process.

The upcoming game is lost. We can only damage ourselves further by bringing in players who aren't a 100% game fit yet. We will need them in the coming weeks, who knows ... months.
