I know right? I don't know why I even bother with actually watching the game and learning about it's intracacies and paying attention to the guys who play it. It's much easier to just let the commentators form your thoughts for you and then you can spew them back out like you know something. Who has the time or energy to actually CARE about football anyway? It's not like it's Soccer or something.

    Not, sure, if, serious.

The dude might be the best blocking RB in the league.

Belichick is not a great talent evaluator. His defense has been crap since most of the old guard players in that unit were traded away or retired.

How did Adalius Thomas, OchoCinco, and Haynesworth work out for New England? I bet OlBlutt was predicting those overrated hacks would be dominant difference makers.

Addai- missed significant time each of the past two seasons. What value is a 29 year old RB with a lengthy injury history? It took him TWO MONTHS to get signed by another team. No one was beating down the door to get him inked.

Clark- 32 year old, injury plagued TE that can't catch the ball anymore.

Gonzalez- has not been healthy since 2008. I'm sure he will magically become healthy with NE.

No, I didn't as it happens. But I think the Colts will miss Addai and he would have been worth his salary as protection for Luck. When Donald Brown misses a block and Luck is sacked hard and is out for the season, perhaps you will see that. Naw, anyone who can still support IU after the years of cheating and players not even bother to attend classes won't be able to see anything......

What does IU have to do with this thread? IU graduated SEVEN players this semester so I think they attended classes. The team GPA was a 3.0 this academic year. It isn't 2008. IU is going to be ranked #1 to start the year, Crean is killing it on the recruiting trail, and the quality of the kids on the roster is without question. You live in some alternate reality where IU is a dirty program and Sampson is still coach.

Please keep making up garbage- it only demonstrates what a troll you are.

Clark is a Buccaneer if anyone cares.

Didn't think it was new thread worthy.

I think he will play and do well. They released a very good TE to make room for him.

I think we will be ok at the RB spot. Carter can well and he provides us with his pass catching as well.

With the offensive line in front of them, no running back is going to have a good year for the Colts........

They released a complete douchebag to make room for Clark. Who can ever forget his "I'm a warrior" ?? And he simply hasn't changed. His Dad - pure class. Jr - pure idiot.

Then Joe is going to have a rough season with the Pats. They had a lower average per attempt than the Colts did.

(This is like shootin' fish in a barrel.)

I do not think Joe will have a great season rushing but he will have a great season picking off people blitzing Brady........

With that said, we are talking about the Colts line this year, not last year. They won't be nearly as good this year..... I think you shot a hole in the bottom of that barrel and the water all drained out. I got all of the fish........

I corrected, thanks. I also think the line WILL get better but not this coming year......

addai hasn't done much in a while and gonzo is about as irrelevant as they come. even on the rare occasion he was healthy enough to play, he almost never got in the rotation. practice squad players were more useful than he was.

Anthony Gonzales didn't even last until they put on pads in New England-- apparently the 11th of 10 receivers

    edit- beat to it...

telling line: Perhaps an injury-related concern led to today's move

Some team will pick him up. Addai is something very different. He will make that team and thrive protecting the passer and gaining yards.......

I'm not surprised he got cut, but I am surprised he got cut before he had a chance (in pads) to compete for #3/#4 running back.

About the only thing they have done so far is conditioning tests, so maybe he didn't exactly ace that.

They rank #1 in the NFL for the number of talent players under 25-years old, as ranked by Football Outsiders.

    http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post...nder-25-talent

Truth be told, our statistical analysis last year said the Patriots had the best 25-and-under talent in 2011, but we went with our gut instead. Lesson learned. New England had 15 significant contributors last season who qualify this season as well, but we really need only to discuss the three who helped produce the No. 3 offensive DVOA in the league. If you can believe it, tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez will still each only be 23 years old at the end of this coming season. Whether we look at standard or advanced stats, Gronkowski had a record-setting season: He was the first tight end ever to lead the NFL in receiving touchdowns, and also had the best receiving DYAR (defense-adjusted yards above replacement) for any tight end since 1991. To put the latter in perspective, the second-through-fourth-best tight end seasons were clustered at 357 or 358 DYAR; Gronkowski beat that by about 100 (459).

Of course, lest we forget Hernandez in New England's double-shot of matchup nightmares; he led all tight ends by breaking 21 tackles and he actually carried the ball 11 times in the team's final five games. Nate Solder (24) helped make huge tight end seasons possible by giving up only 2.5 blown-block sacks in his rookie year. With the retirement of Matt Light, Solder will switch from right tackle to left tackle, further increasing his value.

Finally, the Patriots added LB Dont'a Hightower (22) and DE Chandler Jones (22) in the draft, both of whom should contribute this season and in the future.

Times are good in New England.
    http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/story...ased-25-talent

Have they whiffed on quite a few players? Yes, of course.

Do they recognize the mistake quickly and move on? Almost always.

Have they absolutely nailed some? Yes. That is where trading for extra draft picks has paid off.
