    you probably don't realize had he not done what he did (got in stands right after Ron, shoved the guy after he spilled another cup of beer in Ron's face, etc), Ron would have been the one that threw a punch at that guy, it could've easily been a lot worse.



    He might've saved both Ron and that guy. What he did in the stands kept the guy away from further provoking Ron, and helped cool down Ron to the extent where Ron decided to walk off the stands by himself.

    i think it's very likely that was exactly why SJ did what he did

    I'm more upset that his on-court actions (with Rasheed) prolonged the original stare-down up until the point that the lack of security and crowd control caused the situation to escalate.

    I think he was 'out of control' long before anybody went into the stands.
