Nice pick by the Giants here. Randle should be a nice replacement to take Mario Manningham's spot.

I can understand wanting to run a 2 TE set.... but was that really more important than getting some line help?

Luck loves going to his tight ends...well, we got the two best TEs in the draft. I like it. I love giving him options and we have a few years before WR becomes a huge need. I wouldn't have minded Massie at that point to shore up protection for Luck, but I can't complain about that.

So maybe we will get a player coming up later in the round plus maybe a 6th round pick or something.

This isn't the NBA draft. In the NFL draft, the trades happen before the pick is made. The Horse made the pick to keep him. We needed more than one tight end, he's a solid player. I don't see the problem with it. You can play more than one TE at once.

I agree that having 2 good TEs will be beneficial... I just question if grabbing a 2nd TE was more important than getting some line help in the 3rd round. I just get the feeling we needed the help in other areas first.

I find it hard to believe our D doesn't need some help.

I like the pick. We have to targets for Luck. No point in drafting without giving him as much help as possible. Wayne, Collie, Avery, Fleener, Allen. Not bad.

Day 2 will be all defense hopefully.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

I'm sure the FO realizes our defense sucks and it needs help. They also realized the same thing about the offense. I think they went BPA and saw Dwayne Allen as just that. Remember, up until late in the process, this guy was the top tight end and a potential first round pick. He's a solid player and good value where we got him.
