Why? The average NFL career is three years. Say it is five years for this pick. That means he will never be around to see this team have a winning record....
Using that logic, why ever draft period? Or ever try to upgrade *any* positions??? We're just gonna suck forever, so why bother.

You are a silly silly man.

I never realized how many uniforms Stanford wears. They really are South Oregon. Makes sense since Phil Knight went there as well

Good pick. We now have a blocking TE in Brody Eldridge and a receiving TE in Coby Fleener. They should complement each other.

Does dumb Goddell have to go out there and announce who is doing the pick every time? Can't they just have an announcer or MC take care of it? Slows down everything a bit.

    I like the pick.

Colts took the best (or one of the best) players available. I like that philosophy especially since the Colts have so many holes and lack talent all around.

I was thinking Pagano would be ensuring that the Colts take a NT to help transition the team to a 3-4 defense. However this tells me the Colts either feel they can play the 3-4 defense with what they have (for the most part) or they are not going to force the team to play it which makes sense with what Coach Pagano said when hired...he isn't going to try and fit square pegs in round holes.

No complaints. Still would have been nice to trade back a little, but I guess nothing was there.

Super excited about Brian Quick, he is a solid pick by the Rams. If Jeffery or Randle makes it to 45, we have to take him.

The difference is that when you pick players who try to fit in with other good players to build a winning team, they get to see the results and the winning. I was pointing out that all of the players selected in this draft but Luck will be very fortunate to ever be around to see the team win. You always try to upgrade every position. Which isn't too hard to do when you have destroyed the team........

I would bet quite a bit the Colts have a winning record before that especially if they draft well. You get the highest rated Quarterback since John Elway as the cornerstone. Don't say your crap about him just being "hyped" and being like Russell, Quinn or David Carr, none of those guys had the pedigree, intelligence or experience that Luck does. I am not even a Colt fan here and I know that.
Well, Quinn doesn't belong in that discussion but when they were drafted, Russell, Carr and Ryan Leaf were as highly thought of as Luck. Hell, some experts do not believe he is even the best QB in this draft and I agree with them. Watch RG3 go over the next three years and then lets talk.......

And yes, they are going to be losers for five years if Luck is a superstar or even adequate. It will be much longer if he is not. You are basically starting an expansion team, the talent has been drained and let go........

This draft has gone exactly as I'd hoped so far, so now to figure out what we're going to do next... As of now, we pick the top of the 3rd round.

    I sure hope not.

I think Irsay like guys with high character and Jenkins sure doesn't fit that.

There are way too many talented players, even in the 3rd round, to not take over this Jenkins guy. There is no need to take a chance on Jenkins. "Talented" players with character issues are way overrated. I hope the Colts don't even have this guy on their board and if they do I hope it is only for the 6th or 7th rounds.

And thank goodness the Colts won't have the chance to draft Jenkins.

Jenkins gone anyway, and I'm completely fine with that. Doesn't fit the culture here.

Don't know if there are enough child care centers in StL to absorb the future Jenkins contingent.
