I figured we can get the ball rolling with a draft thread and get ready for the official drafting of Andrew Luck.

Vikings trade 3rd pick to Browns. Will take Trent Richardson.

    Adam Schefter‏@AdamSchefterReply
Vikings got the Browns picks in rounds 1, 4, 5, 7. Cleveland gets the No. 3 overall pick.

This is an AMAZING screw job by the Vikings! Had they just kept the pick, the Browns would've got their man the next pick and given up no other picks.

Instead, the Vikings started fielding offers for the #3 pick (the Vikes weren't gonna draft T-Rich --- they got Adrian Peterson), Cleveland panicked not wanting to lose Richardson, gave up the #4 pick, a 4th, 5th and 7th round pick just to keep Trent.

Now... Cleveland still gets an amazing RB... but that savvy move by the Vikings will allow them to still get their guy -- AND they gained 3 more picks.

    What a move.
There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.

Cleveland just got pwned. No way you give up that much value for any RB in today's NFL.

The Jets were making a strong push to get Richardson. So I guess that's why Cleveland pulled the trigger.

EDIT: I can still see Minnesota trading the 4th pick maybe to the Jets if they want Blackmon or to the Eagles and take Kalil which was rumored.

Minnesota is in the driver seat. If they then trade the 4th pick...wow.

I have to admit I was shaking a bit when we took Luck. It will take time but we will be back. Make your own Luck.

Luck(Stanford) vs. Locker(Washington) for years to come?

Locker's completion percentage wasn't very good last season but every other throw was a long completion and he brought the Titans back in the final minutes a couple of times. He had a rating of 99.4 in his limited playing time and he didn't even have Kenny Britt as a target. Could be a good rivalry. Jags also have a young QB in Gabbert. Gabbert was bad last season but it's interesting that 3 of the 4 teams in the division will have 1st/2nd year QB's drafted 1st, 8th and 10th overall. Can't wait to see how it all pans out.

The Browns had 13 picks before the trade. It's not a bad trade if you really want Trent. And he's really good.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

Cleveland had 13 picks in the draft. It's not bad. It kept them from losing him. He'll be a killer and I thought it was one of their few decent moves.

    Blaine Gabbert - Justin Blackmon
    Jake Locker - Kenny Britt
    Andrew Luck - ??

He has Wayne for now but they might look to do the same and get him a nice young long term WR to build with. Who are some of the top WR's that are supposed to be coming out next season?

Alshon Jeffrey is a monster. I might consider drafting him in the 2nd round if I'm the Colts.

Poor choice by the Chiefs. While Poe's size and athleticism are elite, his game tape is pathetic.

Cox was an absolute beast for Miss. State. Their D-Line was very stout during his time there.

Yep, and he did his work in the SEC, which, last I checked, was a stronger football conference than C-USA.
