Default Lou Amundson, the modern Bo Outlaw?

that's always been my contention...Bo Outlaw was a less flamboyant Dennis Rodman-type player...looking at the stats, Lou's game has a LOT of Bo Outlaw in it....just pure hustle. Bo carved out a 15 year career in the NBA...I'm hoping Lou does the same...and he likely could because he doesn't demand starter minutes, and know his role....hard to come by those types in the NBA...

I love this comparison. I think they are very similar. Bo I think was more of a shot-blocking presence, but Amundson has sneaky athleticism and plays bigger than he is.

I think if Lou got Bo's minutes, his stats would line up better...Lou's usually in the top 10 to 15 in the NBA in blocks per 48

I liked Bo Outlaw and I definitely see the comparison. They were both really raw offensively and horrible free throw shooters. They're both undersized backup centers who made up for their lack of size with quickness and hustle.

Other than their looks, I really don't see much differences between the two.

Great comparison. Bo Outlaw was 6'8" but played large and never was a liability as a Center, even playing in the 90s. Watching Outlaw was always fun, he never didn't dive on the ground for a loose ball or go flying in to the stands to save it.

Lou gets his hands on the ball all the time and turns the other teams offensive board in to a Pacers run out, Bo did that all the time too.

Lou might actually have a smoother offensive game, but Bo was probably a better man defender.

Of course don't forget about Bo's response to being asked about his first ever triple double:
"What's that, some kind of a hamburger?"

I really, really like Lou. But this can't be right.

    *Edit*
This year, which is a just a shade above his career average, he's 35th.

Charles also has taken the greatest name ever as his nickname. Serves him well.

HUH? take a look at NBA.com, he's currently 15th in blocks per 48 minutes....one spot ahead of his college teammate (UNLV) Joel Anthony...

They must have some sort of minutes or games played limit factored in but I don't know what it would be.

    Regardless, good for him.

well yeah, if you don't do that, some European 7 footer that played 5 minutes this year and had 2 blocks would be ahead of everybody....

It still must be really low if Amundson meets it.

Always loved Bo Outlaw, to go along with just about every other undersized center. He was probably a better defender, but Lou is a better rebounder...

Everytime I watch Amundson I think of Joakim Noah. Must be the weird way they shoot.
