A few of you have mentioned getting tickets on Stubhub. I need 3 tickets, and was hoping for Club level at a reasonable (i.e. cheap) price. But I don't want to play "chicken" with Stubhub and end up having all the tickets sell out.
So, in your experience, what is the optimal time to get tickets? Are they priced lower, say, at 3pm on game day? Or do they get more expensive on game day, as if I was buying a last-minute airline ticket?
my experience wasn't for a game a BLF, but when the Pacers came to Sacramento, I snatched up 3rd row seats for $64 a piece at about 3pm day of the game. The price had went from $85 to $64 in about 2 hours.
From what ive noticed, thats pretty much exactly what it is, a crap shoot. For games through the week you can usually wait and find some better tickets closer to gameday. Weekend games and big matchups are the opposite though. The closer to gameday on weekend games, the less of a selection you have generally. If youre looking for the best deal, try and go on a mon or tues (i dont even know if there are any mon or tues games left)
Generally if you find a good seat for a decent price, I wouldnt risk waiting. Most of the games ive used stubhub for were weekdays and you always have a good selection of tickets. There always a chance someone might buy the ones you want if you wait tho. Ive had that happen as well.
