Blair White got cut which I didn't see coming. I guess we are either signing another WR soon or drafting one.

The purging of old project players brought in under the Polian Regime continues.

This afternoon, we got word via Albert Breer of that the Colts have released former Michigan State receiver Blair White, who was an undrafted free agent brought in during the 2010 season. That year, he caught 36 balls for 355 yards and five touchdowns. In 2011, he was injured much of the season, and had no catches.

The loss of White means the Colts only have Reggie Wayne, Austin Collie, and Donnie Avery as viable wide receivers heading into the 2012 season. Apologies to guys like Quan Cosby and Jeremy Ross, but they'll be lucky to play in preseason.

The departure of White likely means the Colts are targeting a receiver in this draft. Players like Rutgers Mohamed Sanu and South Carolina's Ashlon Jeffery should still be on the board at pick No. 34 in the second round. Things could get interesting if Stanford tight end Coby Fleener falls to the second round. Brody Eldridge is the only true tight end they have on the roster.
The Colts also have a big need as nose tackle that they need to fill.
