Nailed it! I'd be surprised if Darren Collison is even still in the NBA in three years.

DC is a better ball handler...

Let's not get rediculous here, he would still make a very good bench player...

This is simply not true. There are a lot of times where DC manages to succeed in games for reasons you find yourself struggling to find. He is also our best mid range shooter and a very good 3pt shooter if he has time to set up. And his shot selection is better than Hill's on average.

He also runs the offense better than George Hill did, though that is hard to determine fully off of 1 game w/ the starters by Hill.

    Blanket statements are silly.

I hope this is sarcasm. There aren't many guys who get bounced out of the NBA like that if when they play well their team has a very good chance of winning. And he plays well a lot of the time.

Remember that in addition to seeing all the game tape that you do, the coaching staff also sees them face to face basically every day. They have reasons for continuing to start DC.

Danny Granger shot 8 for 14 from the field. Despite that stat, I would posit that this was not a great game from him.

Also, as inconsistent as DC is...he is still more consistent than Hill.

Nah, his next contract should net him 3 more years. He's not amazing but he's averaged 46.1%fg 36.7%3pt 85.2%ft 12.3pts 5.3asts 2.8rebs 1.0stls over the course of 211 games from the age of 21-24.

If Conley Jr. can get an extension for 5yrs, 45 million and Chris Duhon can get a contract at all, Collison should get picked up by someone.

Was it because he tried to force his game at Anderson and struggled, and then struggled to stop him at the other end, or was it because Klieza owned him like he won him for $3 on Ebay in the 4th?

Danny has been on fire and has played his butt off, but he was just getting outright punked by both of them tonight. I mean some of it was Toronto getting hot, but it was pretty obvious that Danny couldn't figure Klieza out to save his life.

Unfortunately for the Raptors and their 3pt bombing, the Pacers are more than Danny or Collison. Hill was struggling, now Hill was scoring. Roy slumped last month and has been scorching the last few weeks (esp on defense).

Oh, and for good measure you bring in the 3rd PG who shows you 2 LONG, challenging passes for easy oops by Lou within about 3 game minutes of being on the court.

Win all the "easy" games by 2-3 for all I care as long as you win them. Just keep the pressure on ORL, ATL, and BOS to keep the 3rd spot.

    I thought the same.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

    WNBA?

    D-League?

Wait, what was the team Gill went too, Moscow tornadoes or something. I can't wait to pick him up in my Euroball Fantasy League. It's all the fun of NBA Fantasy ball, but in metric and with commas instead of periods. I won it all last year when my team finished with 101,9 millipoints per Celsius.

DC @ point = some semblance of team play
AJ @ point = some semblance of team play
GH @ = some decent defense of opposingpoint, no team play

All I know is that Darren Collison lost 22 games as our starting point guard, whereas the Pacers are undefeated when starting George Hill. Those numbers don't lie. Don't even get me started on plus-minus stats. Either Frank Vogel needs to promote George Hill to the starting lineup, or Larry needs to promote Brian Shaw to head coach. Thank this post.
