Doesn't State Farm have a whole series of commercials mocking this move??? Damn you corporate America....And Danny Granger....
New Yorkers must get all their ideas from those commercials too. Aaron Rodgers gets upset when other people start doing his move.

Maybe Danny should go old school.... you know... a simple middle finger to the Yawkie bench.

This is complete and utter BS in my book. Why do fans/teams get pissd off when you celebrate an emotional come from behind win? What we have to walk off the court like monk's with our head down? In reading the RealGM, Knicks board it was absolutely mind boggling. You would have thought Granger yanked a few knicks off the bench and started dancing with them. Granger (and by the way I LOVE this) has endured 5 seasons of utter incompetence and little chance at wining. 5 years of emotional let downs

So now we start wining and he is excited, so freakin what! If you read the Knicks fans posts they seriously all blamed the loss on Joey Crawford. "oh this is the worst officiating I have ever seen" or "The fix is on" or my personal favorite "I usually dont complain about the refs, but this was atrocious"

Plenty of teams celebrate, and I am glad the Pacers , after 4 years of hell, have earned the right to celebrate

Only thing I will say is Danny and company need to be prepared to bring it every night as this is becomming , apparently, a league wide view of us
Sittin on top of the world!

So if he does it in a different game, is he still taunting Novak?

Edit: the more I think about it, the more I think fans of other teams want to believe we're still the MurphLeavey P's and get infuriated that we bested their team.

Amazing how butt hurt they get though.

After we lost to the Knicks earlier season, we all showed nothing but disappointment that our guys really didn't show up with 100% effort. Really was disappointing, but we didn't go crying about the Knicks.

Why are they such whiners? I don't get this. Sorry folks, the Pacers are better than the Knicks, and I really do hope the Knicks were somehow able to squeeze out a sixth seed and meet us in the first round. We'll gladly punk your asses.

Q: What's the difference between the New York Knicks and a dollar bill?
A: You can still get four quarters out of a dollar bill.

Self-entitled pricks. For the sake of all that is holy, when did the NBA players, journalists, and announcers grow to be such wusses?

I am from Wisconsin, and I hereby grant Danny permission to mock Novak as much as he wants.

Novak stole it from WI's favorite son (Aaron Rodgers of course) and I have zero "pride" in Novak or his 'feel good story'

You go right ahead Danny. This cheesehead says it's ok.

I guess TV didn't show DJ celebrating by making a chopping motion to his crotch about 2-3 times during the 4th while he was on the bench... just imagine the knicks fans ration if they saw that...

It's a rivalry. Get over it. At least Danny isn't taunting a fan a la Reggie - Spike. The Knicks fans considered Reggies actions malicious, but when Bill Walker yelled at a Pacers fan it's justified? Hypocrites! So because he's from wisconsin, the move is his? Last time I checked, we live in America, where you can do what you wish. Get the **** over it.

Also, I like that another rivalry is returning. Pacers Bulls was revived and sealed with the little ***** complaining about the Pacers celebrations, and Pacers Knicks with this. I like the "You don't have to like us, we're still here" mentality.

The stuff we get caught up in today amazes me! The writer of this article is obviously a Knicks fan. Get on with your life! How this makes DG a Jackass - I have no idea! It's basketball, it's celebration, and good for us, it's a win!

I love all the people talking about a "budding rivalry".

Here's the thing, the Pacers are getting better. The Knicks? Not so much. They'll be lucky to get into the playoffs this season, they were a terrible show last season...

Not to mention that their highest paid player can't stay on the court, and actually has an uninsurable contract because his knee's are so bad.

Melo is known to be divisive, and as we saw last night his absolute best shot still isn't enough on that team. Chandler is great, but outside of that what do they have? A solid PG in Lin, an up and comer in Shumpert. And that's it.

No reason to believe they will get much better than 7-8 in the East at the very best. Whereas the Pacers are a team on the rise, a move or two away from being a championship contender.

So, for all this talk of a rivalry, here's my response: Start winning, Knicks.

    Otherwise, shut the hell up.

    As for this article, :

Don't get angry at Danny for celebrating. Get mad at your team for giving him something to celebrate about.

And what know one mentions is Aron Rogers got it from someone else, he didn't invent it, he just made it famous by doing it in the Playoffs & Super Bowl.

    *gasp*

How dare Granger mock Novak's stupid lil' stolen celebration.... that's *Novak's* stupid lil' stolen celebration.

You know, this might be the stupidest article I've read in awhile.

Yes this is the stupidest thing I've ever seen. They act like Aaron Rodgers invented the championship belt motion.

Um, hate to be the bringer of bad news to them but Boxers have been making that motion for years and now wrestlers and MMA people are doing it.

The last time I checked the NFL did not have a championship belt.
