3/31/2012 Game Thread #51: Pacers Vs. Spurs - Page 12
But I'd be lying if I said I won't be happy the day these whining, flopping brats are retired.
The Spurs are actually a great mix of youth and experience, especially for the shortened season. They were much faster and energetic than us all game. Not sure your point here is either deserved or accurate.
A rested Spurs team will all of its players available is hard to beat, especially with homecourt advantage. A couple stops here, a couple makes there, and we could easily have won this one. I'm just glad it didn't get out of hand.
The Pacers played a good game tonight. You just can't win when the Spurs shoot more than 15 free throws then the Pacers do. It was obvious the referees were favoring the Spurs. I think another reason why we loss this game is because Granger didn't get the ball enough in the first quarter. I know the Pacers are a more balanced offense now, but damn get the ball to Granger!
They were doubling on Danny pretty hard, especially in the first quarter. Obviously part of their defensive gameplan. Our stagnant man and ball movement did the rest of the work until Tyler came in and hit some mid range jumpers. Getting absolutely nothing out of our backcourt is what really killed the offense in the first quarter. Plus the Spurs running our asses ragged.
