=== Browns, Packers, Jets get 4 compensatory picks ===

New York, NY (Sports Network) - The Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers and
New York Jets were each awarded the maximum four compensatory picks in the NFL
    Draft.

The league announced a total of 32 compensatory picks Monday.

The selections, added to rounds 3-7, are handed out to teams that lost more or
better compensatory free agents than it acquired in the previous year, up to a
    maximum of four.

The Indianapolis Colts, expected to take Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck at
No. 1 overall, were among three teams that received three extra picks.

The Oakland Raiders and Pittsburgh Steelers also received three each, while
the Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings were awarded two. The Ravens have
been awarded more compensatory picks -- 33 -- than any other team since 1994.

The Falcons, Bills, Panthers, Cowboys, Giants, Rams and Chargers all received
    one extra pick.

The formula only netted 30 compensatory picks, so two were awarded at the end
of the seventh round to the Rams and Colts to bring the number to 32.

    It's a 5th, a 6th and a 7th.

Looks like the 7th is the last pick in the draft. Mr. Irrelevant.

Two comments, I wish we would have got a 4th instead of a 5th, and it is pretty interesting that we get the last pick of the draft, I am actually happy about this, we now have our choice adding a person instead of trying to compete for them in the UDFA market.

I'd take a flyer on the WR that kicked off the IU squad. He's like 6'4" and supposed to be fast.

These are very useful picks available for a team needing a lot of young players.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

I am actually we are getting the "Mr. Irrevelant pick". It has always interested me to see who is designated for that last pick. I always if the guy picked there would have ever been an undrafted free agant instead.

Ah, I was going off of WalterFootball. They were guestimating his speed.

Still, I'd bring this guy in.

    Damarlo Belcher, WR, Indiana
    Height: 6-5. Weight: 214.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.44.
    Projected Round (2012): FA.

One of our compensatory picks is the very last pick in the draft, which is traditionally known as "Mr. Irrelevant" because they have never made much (any?) of a splash in the NFL.

I understand what/who Mr Irrelevant is, but there were a lot of words missing out of the post that was made so I could not understand it fully.

I love getting "free" draft picks..

You can still get starters from those rounds if you pick right.. Gotta find those diamonds in the rough.

A few years ago the Rams had a mr. Irrelevant who started for them.

No it was David Vobora...Caleb Campbell is who you are thinking of, he has been a member of the Chiefs Lions (drafted him) and Colts.
Ryan Succop is another Mr. Irrelevant who has been playing extremely well for the Chiefs.
