Thread: Good Luck Al

    Default Good Luck Al

You and Walker are going to have fun trying to stop Jermaine. Also, have fun with Artest or O'neal guarding you.

I hope Al gets a standing O from the crowd because he deserves it. We watched baby Al grow up for years and develop right before our eyes, now he is Big Al. Al was an important piece to our success last year, even when he was struggling in the Playoffs he still brought that energy off the bench.

I just can't help wonder what would have become of him if he didn't injure his knee.

I'll applaud Al when he comes out.

After that, he's a Hawk now.

It wasn't his knee that was ultimately his problem... it was his head.

I'll be polite but I'm not crying because he is gone. I'm hoping for a normal Al Harrington game: Stalling the offense, no passes, holding the ball as the shot clock ticks down and then wildly pounding the ball as he backs into the defense and then taking a turnaround prayer, shooting off balance out of double teams (if anyone bothers to doubleteam him), weak fadeaways, etc....

I fully admit he's capable of going off and scoring some points and playing defense. But our team should know his tendencies and sucker him right into 'his'game. Let's hope the black hole leads to another Pacer victory.

O'Brien has been fired! Yay! What took so long?

I am looking forward to seeing Al and Ron go at it. Should be fun.

I remember going to the scrimmage last year, and looking forward to just that. I figured they'd lock each other down, but it was just the opposite, they were practically trading baskets every time down the floor. And the thing is, it wasn't like they were loafing on D. They were beating the heck out of each other. I got the impression that they knew each other so well that each just knew how to score on the other.

IOW, don't be surprised if Al and Ron both have big games tonight.

Asked afterward if O'Neal's absence contributed to Charlotte's win, Knight bristled.

"What about Primoz? They didn't have Shaq, but we didn't have Primoz," he said.

Ditto. That's gonna be very interesting to watch.

I have a feeling Al will get a lot of applause tonight when he's introduced.

I wish Al well but the only thing that counts is a Pacer win. He can get whatever he gets but as long as we win I will be happy. I only hope we have enough healthy bodies to win.

We have been winning without enough healthy bodies so far. This team is tough.

Same 'ol Al. Plays when he wants to -- which is about twice a month.

He was torching Ronnie tonight though. Yikes!

Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.
