Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Good for him. That will be a great place for him to finish his career. He'll have one more shot at a Super Bowl, then he can come back to Indy someday for the Ring of Honor ceremony that he very much deserves. He is a Colt forever.

Selfishly, I was really hoping be would retire. When we took my 5 year old to pick out a Colts jersey, he asked for Jeff Saturday. The fact that even a 5 year old knew Jeff and his importance to the team and wanted his jersey is all you need to know about that guy.

I don't understand why you would hope that he would retire. I was surprised that he didn't go to Denver but I will admit that I know nothing about their current center. I did note that Tamme went to Denver and I find that interesting. Does anyone think that means that Peyton thinks Dallas is about done?

Because I like the idea of Jeff only having suited up in an NFL game for one team. I know I'm not the only one that feels this way.

This was stunning to me. I figured if he went anywhere it would have been to follow Peyton. Selfishly I was hoping for 2-3 years more here teaching our young QB how to play. He was one of my favorite players of the colts all time ranking with Quinton Coryatt (back in the day), Peyton and Marshall Faulk.
