The Colts will play two games in five days next week as they visit the 4-5 Bears on Sunday then the (currently) 4-5 Lions on Thankgiving day. Neither team has established themselves as a contender in their conference; however, each finds themselves only a game out of first place in their division, the NFC North. So, each team is definitely going all out as their seasons are still in doubt.
The Bears offense is nothing spectacular while their defense and special teams are good to above average. Meanwhile, the Lions are an improving team and always seem to play well on Turkey Day. On paper these games look appealing as a Colts fan. I think even Bears and Lions fans would admit the Colts have their teams at a disadvantage. Yet, nothing is guaranteed, and I see this short stretch as crucial to the Colts march toward another playoff berth and division championship.
Anyone else looking at the next 10 days with a bit of apprehension?
