Default Did Chris Mortenson say plate????

Just a quick question here. Maybe my hearing is bad but it seemed like after the conference and they went to the talking heads Chris Mortenson mentioned Manning having a plate in his neck?

My wife had the same procedure many years ago so a plate wouldn't surprise me, but that was the first I heard of a plate being inserted.
You know how hippos are made out to be sweet and silly, like big cows, but are actually extremely dangerous and can kill you with stunning brutality? The Pacers are the NBA's hippos....Matt Moore CBS Sports....

Yes he said "plate to keep it stable"

I think he is wrong. Plates are not used in typical neck fusions, to my knowledge, these days
The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

I've got a friend that had a similar procedure and now that I think about it I think he did get a piece of titanium back there along with the cadaver bone. This was just 2-3 years ago IIRC.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

Pretty sure he has a titanium plate to keep the new bone in place. At least that's what Sanjay Gupta told me.
