"Your course, your path, is not going to be like mine," West says. "Everybody is not called to be a multimillionaire. Everybody's not called to be the president. Whatever your best work is, you do it. Do it well. … You cease your own greatness when you aspire to be someone else."

All you NBA fans waiting for your team to make a trade before the March 15th deadline. Mark my words....after this weekend at least two Eastern Conference teams will have different rosters. Stay tuned.
ARGH! All these rumors have me so interested. Wonder who Broussard is talking about?
At Least 1 of Orlando/New Jersey will make a trade. Either they bring good enough pieces to keep their superstar, or they fail and trade them for real value.
Celtics & Hawks are probably going to make a move (probably not with each other) as they have Rondo and Smith on the block.
There are rumors about us looking to make a move. But we always miss the deadline, so I don't think we're going to do anything.
More rumors and trade talk on this thread guys.
To be honest and I'm not trying to be rude, I don't really care what you guys think about a rumor. It's just a rumor. There is no reason that this thread should have this many pages.
I'd like to be able to just go to one place to look at proposed rumors without everyone's commentary. That place will just have to be over at www.hoopshype.com/rumors. I recommend it to those who just wants to read articles about trades and rumors.
This is like the Lockout News and Lockout Discussion thread. It takes too much work to go back and forth.
Quiet Trade Deadline Expected
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_yl...didates_030812A short season and the magnitude of the Dwight Howard season will likely result in a quiet trade deadline.
While Howard still wants to be traded, the Magic appear to prefer to keep him through the March 15th trade deadline.
“I’d be surprised if we see a lot of deals,” one Western Conference executive said. “In a short season, you can survive another 30 games and start talking trade to teams during the draft lottery.”
Said an East exec: “A playoff or playoff-hopeful team might do something to get them over the hump. But even if you have a problem guy, you don’t have to wait that long for the season to be over. It’s always hard to predict.”
It's a quiet deadline, and we don't seem to do big things on deadlines, so don't expect any big additions for us.
I WANT RAY ALLEN!! but not for that price
http://boston.sbnation.com/boston-ce...celtics-pacersNBA Trade Rumors: Celtics Tried To Move Ray Allen To Pacers?
Mar 09 1:48p by Gethin Coolbaugh
Read More: Ray Allen (G - BOS), Tyler Hansbrough (F - IND), Indiana Pacers, Boston Celtics
Jackie MacMullan's story on the two Big Three's in Boston Celtics lore was quite something (certainly worth a read), but at the very end popped up an interesting nugget about a potential trade that Celtics general manager Danny Ainge attempted to make involving Ray Allen (thanks to CelticsLife.com for bringing this to attention).
In talking with Celtics legend and current Indiana Pacers president, Larry Bird, MacMullan provides us with a quote from Larry Legend indicating that he and Ainge had been in talks about sending Allen to Indiana in exchange for Tyler Hansbrough and a first-round pick.
"Here's the thing," Bird said. "When Danny and I talked about trading for Ray, he wanted Tyler Hansbrough and a first-round pick. If that's the value he's putting on Ray Allen, he ain't getting it. That tells me he's in no hurry to trade him." (via ESPN Boston)
Allen is averaging 14.5 points and shooting 47.2 percent from thee-point range this year.

Got to love it when former teamates become rivals
Bird should tell Ainge "Look man, its becasue of me you became a multi milionaire, now its time to pay me back"
"I want Rondo/Allen for TY, DJ, and 2 # 1's
Sittin on top of the world!
Yeah that would be the dumbest trade ever for the Pacers. I'd love to have Allen, but not for a 1st round pick and Tyler. I'd trade Tyler and say D. Jones and a 2nd for Allen, but I'm also horrible at coming up with trades.
I'd like to see a bigger trade with Rondo/Allen for DC/Tyler/Dahntay/1st round pick
I posted a while back this trade idea
Indiana trades Hans, 1st, Granger, DC
Boston trades Allen, Rondo
If the asking price is true for Ray, then we add Granger and DC for Rondo... Seems pretty fair to me, right?
Paul George would have to move to SF (if this deal happens, I could live with it) and Pierce would move back to SG
