Thomas sucks and I hate his contract, but if he gets us Rondo then it's worth it. Who knows, maybe he could start for us after West's contract expires.

As you can see I keep making up trades where we get Rondo for our spare parts. I hope this one goes...

No, it's great for both. On RealGM both sides said yes, and I can tell you exactly why each would agree to this deal

Bobcats: Tyrus Thomas is a mini Blatche, just with a longer & bigger contract. He has negative trade value (Absolutely NOT a moveable) and they have been trying to dump him. His contract is a "Biedrins" type of contract only longer. He's not even starting for them, dumping him would be a dream. About Augustin, They have no plans of extending him as Kemba is their future. Getting value for him while dumping Tyrus is a dream for them.

Jazz: Jefferson will be an expiring next year so they won't get real value for him unless they trade him at this deadline. They obviously don't plan on keeping him as a core player as they have Favors and Kanter waiting to start. Getting a decent young point guard and a 2012 pick, even if late, along with a huge salary relief (about $12m off) is exactly the type of trade they are looking for.

The only side that said no so far is the Celtics.

Yeah pretty much, because that draft pick isn't gonna be very good, it's the problem with my trade too.

Guess I think Jefferson is worth more than that, and that our package is weak.

I think this is a terrific trade for everybody. Being a four team trade, makes it difficult, but I really like what it does for each team.

Tyler is worth more to Charlotte than any other franchise. He is a demi-God there. Plus they are looking for cap relief and Tyrus Thomas for JO is a HUGE bargain for them. I think Charlotte absolutely does this deal without the First.

Utah has a glut of bigs. Jefferson is a terrific player, which is where I see this trade potentially falling apart. The Jazz do get Augustin and a first rounder, plus the cap relief that they could use. I don't know if the Jazz think this is enough value, but at the same time it rounds out their roster and gives them an upgrade at PG, IMO. The Jazz should get Charlotte's second round pick this year as well since the Bobcats are getting off the hook of Thomas's horrid contract. We would give Charlotte our later second in return.

Boston basically swaps Rondo for Jefferson and Collison makes up the difference in value. This doesn't really save Boston cap space, but I'm not so sure that is a priority of theirs that many have suggested. If we sent the First to Boston that you suggest we send to Charlotte, I think it might the nudge that puts them over the cliff on this deal. Al Jefferson comes full circle back to Boston, where they are in desperate need of capable bigs. Jefferson and Pierce is a great foundation for going into free agency. Jefferson fits extremely well with KG both offensively and defensively. I think this is a fantastic deal for Boston.

Indiana takes on a ton of money and the players with attitude issues. Tyrus Thomas is one hell of an athlete, but he just doesn't work hard or seem to care. Rondo is a terrific player and is probably at his zenith of value. I think this is a big time move for us that makes us a huge contender in the East, but at the same time, we have two head cases locked up long-term and two less first round picks.

Here is what I propose differently:

BOS gets: Jefferson, Collison, 2014 Indiana First
    IND gets: Thomas, Rondo
CHA gets: Hansborough, O'Neal, 2012 Indiana Second
UTA gets: Augustin, 2012 Indiana First, 2012 Charlotte Second
"Your course, your path, is not going to be like mine," West says. "Everybody is not called to be a multimillionaire. Everybody's not called to be the president. Whatever your best work is, you do it. Do it well. Ö You cease your own greatness when you aspire to be someone else."
