Default Blazers have waived Armon Johnson

Any interest ? I know as a prospect there were some here who were high on the guy…..he never really got a chance in Portland so deep on the bench…..he is an athletic PG with some size at 6'3……not that we aren't already pretty deep at the position….but he might be worth a look. Especially if we end up moving any of our depth at that position in a trade before the deadline.

I wouldnt mind if we claim him. He is a really good defender but his offense isn't ready yet but getting away from McMillan could really help his game. I would consider it low risk and decent reward of a guy who has size and can defend the pg spot very well.

Minimum for the rest of year, absolutely. Why not?

Could work out great if any of the current PGs get included in a deal.

A tall PG that plays defense well...

    That's 2 out of 3 desires I have for a PG...

How is he at running an offense (passing and decision making)?

Where would he fit in? Yeah unless someone is traded but what if they're not? He would be a waste of space and would not get any minutes with AJ and Lance coming into a groove.

Minimum for this year? Claim him. If we ship out Lance, DC or AJ he would get time. Otherwise, he could have a stint in Ft Wayne to help hone his skills and bring him up when we ship out DC because Lance is going to start.

Very very very out on a limb here but I actually see Lance starting in 2 years. He has the talent and it seems like he runs through brick walls (like a lot of the guys) for Vogel

Why? He's on the Knicks and is a Role Player at best.

They cut him to make room for JR Smith.

Ah....that makes sense now. But I'd like to see what we can do with the 2 roster spaces for trades. If he's available off of waivers and we dont do anything with that 15th spot.....I don't mind adding him if he's cheap and doesn't add to the 2012-2013 salarycap....we need some actual depth at the SF spot.
