Lee could be a solid ( but cheap ) scorer as a Tweener SG/SF that could play in the 2nd unit and is one of those borderline Starter or a solid 6th to 8th rotational Player playing 24+ mpg.

    Lee is averaging 10/2/1 at 45% FG... 41% 3pt... 85% FT

Lee's a slightly more productive Brandon Rush. He'd be a good bench addition, but I wouldn't give up much for him. Certainly not a 1st round pick.

i don't see lee playing the 3 unless they let him stand on a chair. the guy is undersized as 2 already. guys would be shooting over him big time.

Lee isn't undersized as a SG. You are correct he is undersized to be able to play SF.

Lee would fit in well here. He is an upgrade over Lance at the backup SG. Probably a better starter than Dahntay if Danny or Paul George are injured

My mistake...I thought he was a TWeener....but as JustinTyme mentioned...Lee is listed as 6'5".

Didn't Lee talk crap about Indy on Twitter when GH was complaining about Sports Zone?

I don't want him based on his opinions toward Indy. It wouldn't be fair to the player or the team to bring in a player who doesn't want to be here.

Hill wasn't over jubliant about coming to Indy, but it's worked out fine. I see no problem with Courtney not being a professional about coming to Indy even if it's not a high choice of his.

As many have said.....as "Plan Y" ( nearly the last resort option )...if it cost us some capspace to acquire him ( such as my mentioned Kaman for JordanHill+Lee trade scenario ), I'd look into getting Lee....at worst, Lee is a rental.

From what I've heard, Lee's days are numbered in Houston because he wants an extension/payday and they aren't willing to give it to him. Whether that would contribute to him being any kind of headache is anyone's guess, but I'd say if we threw a 3yr/$15M contract his way, he'd be more than happy to play whatever role we ask of him.

Lee is a defensive specialist that shoots the hell out of the three and is capable of spot minutes at the 1 and 3 (and/or as a starter at the 2) if we lose some depth to trades/injury. I'd be extremely happy to see him as our 6th man.

Since it was mentioned above, does anyone else agree that trading Lee for Vince was basically the first in about 10 bad moves in a row for Orlando? I loved their core of Nelson/Lee/Hedo/Shard/Dwight... I feel like that lineup (with Hedo/Shard on the bench so Anderson starts, JJ Redick as 7th man) would be more productive than the one they're trotting out there right now...

Jordan Hill has a sprained MCL, not sure I'd mess with that at the moment so close to the deadline. Would have to have a MRI for sure.

I got to ask... who said this? Yeah... no one.

A few people are saying maybe sf is his best position and have good reasons for saying it.

listed is the key word. i don't have his pre-draft measurements, but i've seen him and he's not that tall.

I'd see how well he does in our system before offering him an extension.

    Is his defense that solid?

I didn't know. Are we talking about BRush v2 that isn't as passive?

I know he's a great man defender, but I also remember hearing that he's somehow one of the worst pick-and-roll defenders in the league despite being considered one of the best young defensive players overall.

A few people are saying maybe sf is his best position and have good reasons for saying it.
You keep saying SF would be his best position, but there's just no evidence to support that. His coach avoids playing him there except when he thought he needed to put him on LBJ (this was a disaster that was not repeated) and for a few spot minutes he was put on Rudy Gay. Rudy Gay isn't an overly physical player so he wasn't able to abuse Paul George like most small forwards can and do.

Anyhow, at shooting, guard not only does PG contribute to a tall wing tandem, he has the advantage of being taller, and having the size to post up most two guards in the league. Clear physical advantages.

At SF he just doesn't have any physical advantages except the ones you're dreaming it up in your head. It's ridiculous that merely because of PG's height, a small part of this board has decided he must be a SF. haha. He can't even play the position. Now, Joe Johnson? There's an example of a two guard that has no problem playing SF if the need arrives. If only PG could... that'd be nice.

The thing is, that wing positions are the same, with the only real difference being most SF's are physically bigger than most two guards. But you take the actual attributes of any two guard, and I'll find a SF that has the same and vice versa.

So that's why I find it so ridiculous that some here call PG a SF. He can't even play it, and he is one of the FEW two guards that just aren't physically big enough to play SF.

Here's what you'll hear from the "PG is a SF" crowd:

"shooting guards need to be great dribblers, PG is not" Just like Reggie Miller right?
"Forwards are at least 6'8" (i don't know if anyone would say that, but I know they believe it) just like Charles Barkley right?
"PG needs to use his quickness against SF" I'm sure PG can do that against guys like Iggy, Gay and LBJ. Oh wait, they're all quicker than George. (Here's a hint, PG isn't overly quick. He moves well, and has great foot work, but he's not overly quick)

Get over the PG is a SF. Or he can play SF. He can't. At least not yet. And when he does have the ability to play that position, no the Pacers aren't going to move him over to play SF where we already have an all star starting there.

Yep! I've never been a Otis Smith GM fan. He's made terrible decisions. Drafting Orton was laughable. The kid score 3 PPG at KY as a b/u.
