    Default Whitney Houston Dead

    http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2012/...ead-at-age-48/
Singer Whitney Houston has died at the age of 48 according to the Associated Press and other reports.

Houston had one of the defining pop-soul voices of the 1980s and 1990s. She was also a stage of the screen, appearing in such movies as “The Bodyguard” and “Waiting to Exhale.” Her career was marred by erratic behavior and struggles with substance abuse.

    Drug abuse is bad, kids.

It's a shame she couldn't escape her demons.

    Just before the Grammys too.

I admit I was more shocked that Bobby outlived her but regardless RIP

Who didn't see this coming? All that money and success but she couldn't stay away from the drugs. Marrying Bobby Brown ruined her career and eventually killed her.

While Bobby Brown was no saint people seem to forget Whitney was never this saint either she was always a ghetto fabulous queen but she was packaged for the masses to not be.

With Bobby she was truly herself and unfortunately that lead to an ugly road.

Sad ending to a short-circuited career for a very talented artist.
Nuntius was right. I was wrong. Frank Vogel has retained his job.

I hate the TMZ-oriented media. These clowns are canonizing Whitney now, but just do a google search of articles published in the days prior to her death and you will see the widespread character assassination that had been going on, really, since 1995. Yes, Whitney had problems of her own making, but the media contributed to her troubles and they do have some blood on their hands.

Not the type of music I listen to, but I sure appreciate her ability. She had one of the greatest voice's ever, if not the greatest.
